Spa Double-Header 6&7th July 2015 with Bookatrack

I was gonna suggest J8-M20 Maidstone Services so we’re all together in case there is traffic/queues etc.

tenner each?

I discussed similar with Ben. We may not hear them so I suspect of limited use. Although all rather Top Gear adventure.

Also, that deliver date is a tad too late.

Cheers, Ian

Stock local to Ben and I

It’ll be well worth it when you’re dying for a piss and want to stop

Happy with either J8 or J11. My thinking was the nearer the better in case of traffic/queues after J8. It’s 25mins/miles between the two.

Given that check-in closes at 13:06 for the 13:36 train we should perhaps aim to be leaving J11 by 12:45ish or J8 12:15.

Thoughts?

Cheers, Ian

Don’t forget to do your Advance Passenger Information on the Eurotunnel website as the new additional checks if you don’t can cause delays.

Just done that, also told insurance I’m away and the td booked

Monday looking better.

BBC reckon Mon looks good, perfect in fact and Tue bit of rain right at the end of the day…I’ll take that :sunglasses:

Really looking forwards to this now…not just getting to drive Spa but some time out with some exigers for a few days, I really need it.

…on my way to retrieve my car from the BAT cave at Donny :sunglasses:

Have a great time guys,
Hope everything goes well for you all and the journeys all go to plan.

I’m Heading over to Spa on Wednesday next week for a test day on Thursday then to race in the Elise Trophy/Cup UK race on the Saturday. Really looking forward to it.

Cheers Steve.

Cheers Steve, sooooooooooooooooooooooo excited!

Good luck with the racing, we’ll try not to wear out all the tarmac for you.

So its already started as I’ve been up to BAT to get my car today :sunglasses:

I arrived at Donny to much activity with trucks being loaded with cars and the BAT guys readying things for the big event next week. It makes you realise how much effort goes into an event like a double-header at Spa!

First thing I was saw was this fantastic machine waiting to get loaded (sorry for crappy iPhone pic).

The owner Ian is racing in Lotus Cup but will be with for the double-header too and said he’d join us for drink in town on Monday.

Now here’s an exciting picture,…DaveP’s fantastic little machine getting loaded onto the wagon, next stop Spa Francorchamps :sunglasses:

Then it was time to saddle up and point my car South for the first leg of the Spa trip, getting to London. DaveP’s on the tail-lift, mine ready to roll,…AndyD’s orange machine is probably feeling a bit left out as it was pushed back into the garage, now that would be a car for Spa Andy, shame you can’t make it.

Car is feeling great and it was good to back in the seat,…although once I got to the M25 it was gridlock :frowning: Sitting in traffic in this heat in the hotbox is not fun,…

Just sorted out AA cover, few more jobs to do, give it a wash and we’re good to do. Just need to worry about the M20 and operation-stack…

We still need to agree a junction to meet at - 8 or 11 ? (times as per post above)

Have a great time. Where are you all staying?

Me/Tim/Dave/Ian are at the Radisson in town, Gary/Yvonne are at the other place. Don’t know about the others…

Hang on, Dave, no Exige?!

I tell you what Ian around about 3.30 4pm on the Tuesday, that Caterham will have the most amazing sideways action all to itself on one of the worlds greatest race circuits. It’s proper sssshhh quiet or certainly has been the six times I’ve been…golden time

Rain forecast for that time Jonny, Dave will be happy about that!

Woohoo !!!

Looking forward to it in the dry to to be honest… hopefully theres a set of wets on the wagon for me too
