See that’s the view I take. If Lotus recognise an Exige is much more than an Elise without a roof then its about time you backwards lot get with the program

Thommo’s late challenge comes to nothing as he tries to post up a pic of the roofless Exige and ends up posting a pic of his Holidays.

And at least I replace it with a larger one
Saving up for that one Or one like it, I want one that does a little more than help keep my boot lid closed (and very good the OEM spoiler is at doing that )

See now Ade / B12ANR I’m disappointed, I’d expected a response on that theme from the uneducated or perhaps the McDonalds car parks massive. Even to a certain extent regular Lotus owners. But from a couple of Exige owners… deary me
If the Exige was just an Elise with a hardtop and a rear spoiler I would have saved myself £5k and bought an equivalent Elise!

To be fair, I bought my Exige after seeing one for the first time a few days before at a private sprint event 
If I knew then what I know now i would’ve bought an S2 Elise and gone for a full Exige GT3 spec/kit and turbo/SC engine conversion

Having met a few Exige owners who aren’t interested in modifying or trackdays, This is one of the few places i think we can get good advice (and yes, often abuse) when putting our personal stamp on our cars.

Oh ok I forgive you then I too wouldn’t have discounted a well sorted Elise when I was looking. An Audi engined or SC Honda’d S2 with Nitrons etc up for sale and I would have been all over it like a rash.
The only thing you need are the two clips that hold the rear of the support bars. The rest is already in place Apparently they’re easy to fit, dremel out the holes and glue in? I sent mine to Unit 4 in Burton on Trent to have mine done though
