Soft Top conversion - what parts? Where to get it done?

Ok so I’ve got a soft top (thanks Gav  ) Just need to get the rest of the bits. Has anyone got the part numbers I need to order? Or can point me in the right direction?

Also I’m not sure I want to do the cutting, don’t trust myself :unamused: Can anyone recommend somewhere to do it? Or can someone do it for me? I’ll bring beer / beer tokens

Call John at JS Racing, I’m sure he will be happy to do it for you

John at JSR did the chopping and sticking on my car.

Easy to do, plenty of threads.
Dremel and hot glue gun make it easier but not essential.
parts cost pennies

yes I had heard the parts are inexpensive, do you happen to have the part numbers so I know what to order?

Mark items 21 & 22 here

HERO! Cheers buddy.

Any recommendations on a good dealer to order from? Ideally one that will post out?

Just order from Deroure they will post to you

LOL, that’s a good example of me doing a boy look  Didn’t notice you could order direct from them!

Anybody know what the parts are that need welding to the roll bar, and the bits that screw in to them?

How did you get on fitting the soft top M@rk?

Its with a guy now just having the two clips put into the rear roll bar cover (that’s all you need) So about £20 in parts and an hours labour. I only want it as a glorified/more secure shower cap, so I did try fitting the roof without this work done. It all goes on no problem you just can’t fit the support bars so it really sags in the middle. I should imagine if it rained if would gather water and stretch or even worse collapse. Conclusion: you definitely need to fit the support bars even if you don’t intend to drive with the soft top fitted.

We have a pair of the rear mounts - both the plastic and rubber parts - here that is no longer needed. £15.00 inc UK carriage and VAT.

I’ll buy them…then destroy them so no other sacreligous fecker can use them!!!

I bought a soft top a few weeks ago and the conversion kit to fit it. I fitted mine at the weekend for exactly the same reason as you. I done the work myself though - measuring it several times to make sure before drilling/cutting. Can’t beat a bit of sunshine on you (on the rare occasions it appears up here).

Shouldn’t this be in the Elise section??

Shouldn’t you just not post?

“Roadster” section

Ooh . . . and . . . THEY’RE OFF . . . the odds-on favourite, Pesky, is first out of the starting gate with Tim closing on the rails . . . AndyD comes into contention from a long way off but Thommo is keeping a watch brief but looks like he may stage a late challenge . . .
