S2 prices nearly lower than S1!

For sale on Pistonheads…2004 S2 with only 10,000 miles for 23,500!

It wont be long before the covetted S1 overtakes the S2 in the price stakes!

quite tempted by a porker GT3 with 22k on it for 44k - thoughts?

Yet again an excellent price…i’d LOVE a white one with the blue or red livery!

this one is red, its the first one on autotrader, its had a lot done to it but has clearly been tracked… very tempted…

Looks good, never heard of Motorzone before though, seems like they’re a supermarket for prestigious cars!

I also saw that exige. Seems perfect for one of my mates who wants an exige but he has to sell his car first. Its a bog standard one with no air con. Apart from that it seems fine. Cant imagine there is many exiges with no aircon but summer time must be awful!!

I think you’re thinking of the GT3 RS, which’d be more.

I rather like going past GT3s on track, proves the Exiges value. Depending on drivers, GT3s and Exiges can be pretty equally matched.

And before anybody gets the impression I’m talking about inappropriate trackday racing, I’m not. I’m talking ‘playing’, it’s a real joy being quite close to another driver you trust and are a similar pace to on track.

Ian

Who needs air con??? Just open the windows.
Air con adds weight and is something else to go wrong. Bin it.
Also I have a theory that the aircon installation interfears with the cold air ducting to the alternator leading to fried alts .
S1 More Fun

aircon is a godsend. couldnt live without it in summer. its almost as good as the parkassist reverse parking sensor.

My car HAD air con, now in a box in the garage somewhere.

Says it all really

(no AC, no park assist, not even a rear view mirror here )

Dont suppose you need aircon in Aberdeen…

lets just stop the converation short-The S1 is the only real exige and the S2 is just Slightly tarted up 111R. Air con i have but not through choice-It was just there. I much prefer to have the window open to be honnest.
The above excludes the 240R-240-Cup and Cup exige.

horses for courses, i guess.

I can’t see the point of park assist either. However a sad fact of life (for the S2) without air con is that it just won’t sell/attract the same interest/price as one that has it fitted. Thats why Lotus offer it & thats why people buy them (i wonder if S2’s have overtaken the sales of the S1 yet?).

stops me reversing into things, usually low things

A good habit is scanning the area where you want to park and after you’ve seen it’s free, use the mirrors to guide yourself.

And well, now that my rearview mirror fell off, I also have to turn my head around to see through the perspex for depth control but that’s it.
One move reverse parking, sometimes I have to move forwards, but most times am parkes in one movement

no perspex - i have the good type of exige
