Hi Dave,

Quoting Jez’s post from the original discussion thread, see this post where he gives details.

Mike i’m happy with that. The database can always be expanded in time to collect more data as required. If everyone who has said that they would like to be included send me their photos
(front, left and right side and rear and one of your choice) i will start to collate them together. I will also need a name and chasis number so when we bring the data base and photos together it wil be easier to marry them up. Please send them to > [email protected]
Put Exige somewhere in the title so i don’t delete them as spam. No photoshopping all the dirty bits off now , unless of course you happen to own a rally or grass tracking car . Once the numbers start to begin to build up i will send them to Mike.

The only way we can get as many as possible is by wrd of mouth or other Lotus forumns, SELOC, Elisetalk. LOT, LDC etc etc. Spread the word. We should be looking at 400 or so seperate cars. Thats if everyone wants to be included?

It will be worth it in the long run.

All in the name of pampering my good man! She’ll be like a brand new car under the skin in a few more months Everything’s getting pulled off, replated/repainted/refurbished back to exactly the way it came from factory… right down to, and including, the dodgy build quality

I’llleave the survey running - I can collect data at any time and I alreasdy have some. When I have had a chance to sift it I will seek to fill any gaps by direct contact with those that have responded.

For example, 36 people have told me the colour of their car. The most common is New Aluminium(7) followed by Orange (6) and Laser Blue (6) and Titanium (4)

36 People have told what engine they have fitted. Most common is VHPD 190 (22) followed by Honda K20 (8) then VHPD 177 (4)

So it is coming together…

We’re not making much in the way of further progress. 57 people have started the survey but only 39 have given me essential chassis No detail .

However, I probably have enough of an idea to start the reigister proper and collect specific data from those that have given me the lead…Thank you to all of those who have helped so far . We can now look upon this registar’s bit as a long term exercise which can be built up as the years progress.


But… my daughter is getting married on 7 June so it may be a while yet befoe I get around to it.


But what about Jez’s book? How many have sent photos Jez? (Not me yet, I know but easily addressed)

Seems a pity that more have not got involved. The Porsche club register system seems to work to the advantage of all.
