S1 LSS ant roll bar

Does anyone know how much stiffer they are compared to a standard item?

I made a rig and measured them all a few months ago, I’ll see if I can find the data sheet i filled in.
from memory the std bar and the yellow bar on its middle setting are the same at about 30lb per inch of twist and the black LSS bar is about 50lb per inch.
This is all from memory so if Im a little out dont shoot me down please!!!

Dave

That was all I needed to know really, I thought it was quite a bit stiffer.

If you need a properly developed antiroll bar that is stiff and wont break your chassis like some do!! speak to JSRacing!!

I will probably just get my current one recoated Dave

Not sure there is anything wrong with the standard one - or at least hardly ever seen anyone move from standard middle setting.

Steve, are you serious, I don’t know anyone who drives on track who uses the standard bar on the middle setting.

cue loads of standard bar middle setting people.

There are definite advantages to having an uprated ARB

Sean - oddly I am.

It is a matter of some amusement that pepole spend on nitrons etc and fiddle with them but seem to leave roll bar at set by factory.

Hmm, interesting.

People should deffo start twiddling with their ARB’s!!!

would now be a good time to plug that I’m selling an uprated bar

What setting are peeps using then? Running the latest spec fast road nitrons.

I might be wrong but if the drop link was attached with a pin and r clip then maybe they would. Somehow needing a set of spanners seems to be a step too far.

That’ll be me then :astonished:

Get em set on full hard guys, at least to feel the difference and see if you like it or not.

The standard Exige bar isnt ‘that’ stiff to begin with. I have an uprated bar, that I have set on full hard in the dry and disconnected in the wet.

Each to their own I guess …sorry a bit childish.

Not as simple as just stiffening up the bar, depends on what spring rates you are running, people spec up springs, sometimes with big differences front to rear, where a stiffer bar would be of benefit, but don’t change. Or those who stiffen up the bar without changing anything else.

A stiffer bar will increase initial turn in but will increase mid bend understeer, depends on what you want.

It worked for me.

I’m in the queue.

Standard bar, middle setting, standard suspension, quite happy.

Clive.

Im running the latest nitron 400 fr 475 rear from memory

might try nudging mine harder
