There are only about 110 Exige S1’s left on UK roads! That is a TINY number… they are a very rare car indeed! And getting rarer by the year!
Rarity… priceless really! The add the fact that they look AWESOME, drive brilliantly and that the name ‘Lotus’ has such good motorsport and F1 DNA, I can only see values going up and up.
Four years when I sold Shrek, the market was ‘flat’ and Shrek was probably the most expensive Exige S1 at £27k when I sold to lucky Steve! As he drove off, I said to my other half that I did not really want to sell as I reckoned he would be worth £50k in 10 years! (but no future in a damp UK garage being unused either!). I hear the new owner recently turned down £45k! So my next forecast will have them over £100k by 2022!
Same for the S1 Elise as well… except there are still over 2000 S1’s on the road! But they also have doubled in price over the last 4 years! Time to get one whist I can still afford one I think!!!
As an aside, there is no logical reason to ‘knock’ these great cars appreciating so much! I wish I still had one!! Seloc seems obsessed with knocking high prices! Why!? I don’t get it !!! Blimey guys, talk up your ‘investments’ even if they are not seen as such, but just great cars to own and drive!
