They also did it in ice blue and apart from my dads i have never seen another exige in that colour
Those that have seen it, not many wiil agree it looks stunning.
I keep telling him my yellow one looks better though
Remember seeing a very dark purple S1 for sale…
Wasnt that the black one that had been crushed (by a tree?) and then resprayed?

Not aware of the “tree” incident, could have been, though this was 2004 back in the days when you were still in short pants and blissfully unaware of Uncle P’s forthcoming grooming
What about Lava Orange?
Theres a chap in my neck of the woods with an S1 and its defo darker than mine and I heard someone call it Lava Orange? Not sure if it was factory option?
Yes Lava orange was done on 3 or 4 cars and looks great I think. I viewed a Azure Blue one a B&C before I bought my yellow one and it looked so so nice, what a lovly colour that is for the exige! I didn’t buy it though as it had magnolia leather trim and I wanted black sport seats and harnesses!
Monaco white was also a factory colour at no cost, but no one wanted it then, people would go crazy for it now!
Not wanting to appear like an anorak, but on the 'Best Of British DVD (The Full and in-dept hstory of Lotus) there was a white X reg S1 in the Hethel workshop, the DVD was made in 2002.
I was in the factory right at the end of the original production run and saw at least two white cars. They were apparently a popular colour for the Japanese market.
What about Lava Orange?
Yup, i had a loan car (factory) in that colour. Nice in the sun, but fookin mental under lights. Deffo an acquired taste.
There is an example in Quartz in the Newcastle area, but don’t expect to see it anytime soon It’s not as good as Titanium or Graphite either (IMHO).

AH HA HA HA, where is jules, havn’t seen/heard from him in a god while! Never seen the car in a about 2 years
Looking at the plate yes it is the same car! I have more photos of it at home on my comp!
Cool, dont suppose youd mind e-mailing a few to me (God that sounds sad), only it took a bunch of e-mails the Merits manager to get him to send me those high-res ones, and Id love some more if youve got any.
David
hear the are mate, if you want me to email you them as ell, just let me know. Looks like it is a diiferent car looking at the reg, think I did enquire abou the one at merrits tho. This car was so mint and lovly when i viewd it, shame about the trim tho.

That’s brilliant, cheers Nath!

Azure Blue really is a stunning colour for an Elise or Exige… so deep and rich Although my experience of it has ruined as all the ones I’ve seen in NZ have had Magnolia interiors and I HATE that colour combo.
Still, Titanium will always be my fave Elise colour, has been since day 1, although I still think S1 Exiges look great in Mustard Yellow
Can anyone ID the colour on Mrhatmostly’s Exige? I thought it might have been Nautilus, but looking at it now it’s deffo not. Is this the famed Cobalt Blue?

Aye, George - that looks like Cobalt Blue
Thats Cobalt blue!
Yellow, orange and azure blue are the best, my yellow one used to look stunning in sun! Please let a nice one pop up soon before I buy a S2
The 340R didn’t last long then, what’s the story there?
David
hey Nautilus looks great as well especially in the sun.

I can’t understand it either - surely a 340R is the ideal car, when you live in Geordieland?
Welcome back!
