Thanks Rob for all the organisation.
Glad you got my afternoon spot with Mike Wilds passed on and the B&B (Prince Llwellyn which was excellent) were great to let us off the Saturday night.
We left around 3.30 in the afternoon after a front damper failed (braided hose ferrule on the Ohlins remote reservoir), trundled home no problem at reduced speed.
Thanks to Yvonne and Gary for kit storage in the Landie and loan of jack etc.
Got the dampers off and this afternoon and packaged up ready to go for rebuildā¦
Great morning though and good to meet a few more Exigers.
Awesome couple of days.
The drive over with Benja, Quo and Ian was awesome (Love the Avatar Ben!!)
The track day was ace, the weather couldnāt of been any better, I have sun burned cheeks.
Car ran great, and it is an awesome track.
Seanā¦
Thanks for the positive comments folks.
Hope all those who suffered from mechanical gremlins get them sorted without too much wallet pain!
To get things in perspective though, itās entirely you lot who make these days so fantastic. Each year, your enthusiasm to get booked on, pay for day, then turn up & drive in a manner so that everyone feels comfortable & safe, is a credit to you all. Both Bookatrack & myself really appreciate that, & topping it all, seeing so many smiling faces throughout the day makes it all worthwhile
Now then - get yerselves booked on LOTās 3rd July Oulton day
Had a great time, nice to meet some fellow exigers.
Been a long time since ive actually been able to drive my car so was nice to get back behind the wheel.
Nice trip there and couldnt help take some pictures along the way, although I couldnt see out of my windscreen for about 30 miles and the washers packed up and Seans car chucks so much dirt into the air I couldnt see anything for ages.
Trip to the circuit was an adventure, but glad verything panned out ok.
Track was very greasy in the morning, but still managed to burn through a tank of petrol in one go, sat out till the afternoon, what happened to the photo shoot that was planned at 1.30?
Was very nice to see the sunshine infact I was shocked when it appeared, track dried out nicely in the afternoon and turned out very nicely. Great Track.
Would like to thank JSRacing for fixing my car up when a few things went wrong, loosing 3 bolts from the Throttle Body nearly sidelined me totally but JSR and Mark came to the rescue with replacements, thanks Mark.
Then approaching rocket at close to 140mph I totally lost brakes, just glad it was an uphill stretch as that helped scrub some speed, still unsure how I managed to dodge the marshalls post. Turned out my nearside rear brake pads had fallen out, the pin and retaining clip had vanished somewhere. Must be those kurbs.
My thanks to Ian for coming to the resuce and letting me borrow some bits from his striken car, did feel bad about asking him and he did comment on me kicking him when he was down, but I guess that the spirit which makes the exige community different, he was happy to let me have the bits so I could go back on track.
Well another tank of fuel later and I got black flagged for noise that was the end of my day, still it was 4.10pm so didint miss much.
I think ive left most of my tyres on that final bend but had fun doing it.
Drive home was very sedate with Benja, M40 was a nightmare, visitbility was zero, the spray and aqua planing realy were quite scary, 315 miles and a few hours latter I got home just gone 10pm.
Had a Fantastic time and cheered me up no end, glad benja talked me into coming and Sean sorted a spot for me. JSRacing for preping my car.
Been a difficult year for me so far, I hope its onward and upward from here on in.
Hopefully will make July 3rd.
Christian

Blimey Marc - didnāt even know youād had a problem until you posted the above, as I finished my last run at about 4.45pm, & then stood about chatting in the paddock.
Hope you get it sorted quicklyā¦ at least youāve got the Exige to play out in, too!
Fantastic day, thanks again to Pesky for organising it. It was great to put some faces to names from the forum.
Had some excellent fun on track, especially chasing Pete with his annoyingly tidy lines and quick laps in the dampā¦thats a two finger salute from a 111s then Iām sure it was my mudflaps that slowed me down!
No messing about there Mark, thatās a damn quick teardown! Hope you get it rebuilt as quickly. I had just enough energy to drive mine off the trailer and park it in the garage.
[quote=marcp]I donāt think so

Sorry!
Canāt wait to see that matey !
AA trucks are soooooo slow! Yeah, back just after midnight.
Cheers Rob, great effort appreciated by all (even God given the weather)!

Ah the good old Audi 20v valves.
Been there my friend.
Arrived back home at 8pm tonight, slight delay after suffering a flat on the trailer. Another 1400miles on the old Disco, but as usual well worth the effort.
Big thanks to Unkle P for making the Exiges day happen again. Always one of the highlights of the year. Had a mare on track so sorry if I got in your way.
Great to meet folks old & new, as already been mentioned itĆÆĀæĀ½s worth the trip just for that alone.
Hope everyone gets there cars sorted soon and looking forward to the next meet.
What a great couple of days, another 800miles are loads of fuel later.
it was great to see you all again and I still never seemed to get time to meet all the new and old faces, you always think there will be time and there never seems to be, it is all the people on this forum that make it and these days the best on the internet and the only place I post seriouslyā¦
And finaly, boy even with a limp Mike Wilds can really drive a car, so if late in the afternoon if anyone was thinking " Adrian seems to have got the knack of driving" it wasnāt me
See you all hopefully at Oulton in July
Brill day mate! Yep that was great funā¦
BTWā¦ I had removed my mudflaps in the morning!!!
Looks like I missed a great weekend. Nice pictureās.
