Project Satsuma

Well I got up there, I touched the car after 748 days!
Revved it, waiting on driveshafts being installed and then mapping can be done.

Pity the nights are drawing in . . . :open_mouth:

Running in on the dyno has commenced…

Really hope it comes good for you in 2019 and we finally get to see you and the car at an exiges event.

Me too Ben. Look forward to seeing you all :+1:

Well Rob? Got the car back yet? You coming to Anglesey?

Hey Ben, do I have the car? No.
Do I hope to get the car in the next two weeks…watch this space

Fingers crossed bud. You HAVE to bring it to Anglesey!

So two weeks on from the 14 March is errrr…this Thursday!

So you’re getting back just in time to scoop up one of the remaining x2 Anglesey spots, yeah yeah?

So a quick review…I picked up my car from Dan, drove it home and enjoyed four weeks of running the engine in.

My friend Boyd who runs BR car detailing at GT101 in Colchester ceramic coated the car…it came out super shiny…

Met a local owner who has a 430 cup and we pax’d I each other’s cars. Mines the frenetic, little sound deadening, banging and popping little beast; his the effortless and maybe more ‘sensible’ option!

23rd April and it was time to go back for a checkover at HPE along with a few other bits. It’s a three hour drive from Norfolk so I set off at 5am. Four miles into my journey and a baby deer wanders out in front of me…no time to react and sadly I end up killing it along with my front splitter.

So it’s now at Option 1, the insurance wanted it to go to some local repair centre…I made them see the light. So all been well I’ll collect the car possibly next week after a small repair and front clam respray.

What’s another month eh!

Wounded, but at least it’s fixable!

Oh deer, that engine bay looks phenomenal. I must resist the temptation…

Looks like the red lion at Caston? You must be local to me then, I’m in Hingham. Be good to meet up and go for a drive sometime. I would like to see/hear those throttlebodies on song in the flesh

That’s my local yes, I live in Northacre :+1:
I play tennis at Hingham, I didn’t know you were so close by :sunglasses:

Not to far away at all then. If you see a scruffy looking red s1 “elige” with oversize rear wing then that’s probably me.

Your car looks very tidy, have you got it back from the body shop yet? Any trackdays at Snetterton planned?

Hopefully collect it next week or the week after at the latest. Option 1 is only a few miles from Dan so it made sense to combine the two.

No TD’s booked yet but hope to get some in, have you got any booked in Jon?

Here’s the token lotus picture that everyone will experience

Not yet, keep looking to try find an evening that suits me.

Give me a shout when you get it back, if you want, take a drive somewhere?

Wow, car was looking fantastic. Engine bay is a work of art. Feel for you, but pretty fortunate overall. That must be the worlds smallest deer to only take out the splitter
