Also the 4060 front pads are NOT lotus Elise/Exige fitment, Thats why they rattle!!!Yes they go in but…
They are about 1mm shorter than they should be.
Why do I sell them
Because I dint want to turn people away, they will buy parts from somewhere else if they cant get what they want.
The 5038 4 pot pads are also to thick to go in the caliper and need to be rubbed down by about 1mm so they will go in.
My 4060 front pads don’t rattle & never have, and they fitted AOK
I didn’t use 5038, I used 4115 so no problems here either !!
Why? So he can teach me to drive with my foot trailing the brakes ???
He had pad delamination on a set of CL pads
As I said !!! Trailing the brakes
How the fook do you know how I drive, Mike? On the same trackday, AndyD had exactly the same problem, & I do know how he drives By the way, trailing the brakes has it’s place, but being an ex racing driver I thought you’d know all about that, & “left foot braking” Our experiences would appear not to have been isolated cases either! In any event, I would expect “race pads” to be able to cope with trail braking.
No problem whatsoever you liking CL pads, & neither should it be a problem for others to describe their real world actual experiences with a view to helping other members of exiges.com.

5038 are for the 4 pots
4060 are for old lotus 2 pots not the current 2 pot (ie elsie and exige s1/s2)measurements taken show they are about 1mm to small
4115 elise/exige rears
The front pads are too thick.
Still, I banged them in with a hammer and drove them for a few miles to wear them down.
This boiled the fluid which then let me down the following day at Druid’s which resulted in altered pants colour.
Hence move to PF
Funny how many peeps mentioned just the same at Con’s wake, yesterday
OK I’ll stop posting .
No, no, no, you mustn’t do that Mike, please! There’s room for everyone on here - we’re mainly a bunch of eccentrics who’ve known each other for ages. We’re all looking forward to making your acquaintance in Anglesey, so keep the banter coming

I have to eat humble pie , and admit, that my front pads, have delaminated, and stuck to the front disc and I’ve had to break one up on the front wheel , to free it up ,to allow the wheel to rotate !!!
