About the same weight as the out going twin turbo V8 Esprit, that utilised a large heavy steel girder for the chassis. There was me thinking Lotus had gone back to basic’s with low weight cars??? Not sure the 1350kg weight is correct? 1150kg more likely, oh similar weight to my own 1981 Esprit?
But the wait is nearly over, we should all know the name, and all the other technical bits of this extremely important new Lotus, just after 1130 in the morning.
Turns out Evora is also an old town in Portugal. Wonder if anyone at Lotus owns the odd hotel or two there suitable for weeks of lavish launch parties.
A boss here has just tried putting a deposit down and was told the first ones will be high spec at circa �60k!

I’ve read somewhere (don’t ask me where because I can’t find it now ) that B&C have been phoning potential customers with a full spec price around �65k
Nice car and in principle I’d like one but not at that money.
