If I hear anything will post up Jonny.
Not going to hold my breath though as I suspect the turkey will have had loads of emails about the day.

I was a passenger in 6970K car and what he said is true after 11 miles on track it was scary they were cutting each other up, two abreast into corners and right up each others chuffs i was glad to get back into the pit. NEVER EVER WILL I BE USING EASY TRACK AGAIN. BAT or LOT for me.
It might be the day you were doing though, I’ve done a few days with easytrack (got a discount on a 5 day package through another forum) and never experienced anything like the above. Sounds like you just had a particularly bad lot.
They’ve been running them like that for years at Oulton.
You did warn us the weekend before Rob.
On the plus side the sausage, beans & chips in the cafe were very good. (no cake though)
What i would like to say is that with the few track days i have been on were BAT ones, they have been safe lots of space on track and very enjoyable. There have been different makes of car and driver experience on the days but it has always been courteous. So if you like your track day like that use BAT, if on the other hand you like to race at close quarters you know who to book with.
As shown on this thread the experience you get on a trackday is typically a function of not just tdo but price and whether it’s at the weekend. I’ve put together this handy expression to help you evaluate whether to attend :
if(and(not(or(TDO=BAT,TDO=LOT)),or(day=sat,day=sun),price<=150),avoid,attend)
Maybe I’ve been working a bit too much in Excel today,…I’ll shut up
I received a reply last week to an email I sent to Easytrack about the trackday -
“Firstly sorry you got short changed - it’s not our usual standard as I hope you already know.
Basically we got caught out with some agency bookings = we didn’t know about them due to an admin error and were placed in a difficult decision on the day to turn them away or not. Since the same error meant the day was sold at a price 40% less than it should we decided, perhaps to our peril, to try with the larger numbers. We wont be doing that again, though I think you must have had a particular problem as I never saw a 30 min wait and there were only 3 reds all day, so it wasn’t that bad for most.
I think the agency bookings also came from a different stock of drivers too, as some standards very low and kept our instructors on their toes thats for sure!
That said, give us another chance at Oulton spring next year (or this coming Saturday if you like) and I’ll happily offer you and your 2 friends a 50% discount off the day: 3rd Dec or 17th Feb”
Kind Regards,
Joanne

Thanks for posting that up Steve at least they have tried to explain why it was so bad on the day.
Not really sure I understand the comment “Since the same error meant the day was sold at a price 40% less than it should we decided, perhaps to our peril, to try with the larger numbers”.
I would have thought that this made it “cheaper” to refund the money and send them away?
Yes and what i thought was funny, the event was 135 when we booked and then a few days before the event it was 169 you could still book on line but the event was already sold out.
