Would be good to see one properly sorted, I would have thought that they are still going to eat brakes with all of that weight though. I was being unfair to RS4’s actually, I’ve only seen one go up in flames, on a hot day at Oulton, the guy came into the pits and flames started coming up from around the brakes and under the bonnet, they put it out pretty sharpish, but still closed the track for 20 mins.
Yeah I fancy a csl in a funny sort of way. I know of at least 5 ex rs4’ers that have gone over to the csl, a couple of them stil have them and track them ofetn. DaveP who has just jioned exiges.com has one but is looking to sell for an Exige… Must be something to do with the fact I keep going past him on trackdays.
OOh…you cheeky monster !
It’s only cos you wouldn’t let me past down the back straight at Spa ! Spent the whole straight right up your chuff swearing at you
Do love my CSL…although I am tempted by an S1 with a nice engine in it…mostly for the cheaper cost of tyres and outright single-mindedness of the thing. The great thing about the CSL is the fact it can do 2 min laps at Oulton and I can use it day-to-day too…
Well we wre just about to add an RS4 to the company fleet, when at the last minute the MD clicked to it being manual I know, very sad. So we ended up with this:

Very nice…(shame aboot the rs4 though )
It would make a mighty fine boat anchor thats for sure.
Dave… :bigkiss:
Russ, The Aston is nice I must admit (if your an OAP that is!!). Come one inch of snow though your stuck on the drive wheel spinng away along with all rest of the bmw’s in the land…
One thing is for sure though and that is the ownership of a high powered 4wd car and a Lotus of some sort is a very good combo to have…
