[quote=seriouslylotus]Did a bit more to the car last night.
I want to stiffen up the chassis but with the gPan sump the Lotus Shear panel is to wide.
Here is my solution
It uses 6 of the 8 mounting points that Lotus use so if fully interchangeable for those who wish to add a gPan sump and still have a shear panel. (It can of course be fitted to a car with a standard sump)
Forgot an important bit!!
When changing the oil filter, you dont have to remove this panel to catch all the oil as this one is not in the way - big bonus not getting oil all over the place!!![quote=seriouslylotus]Did a bit more to the car last night.

Small update
Taking to long to do and enthusiasum is very very low but…
Will try and get busy over christmas with doing lots of jobs on the car. I need to swop out the clutch drive plate as the fool (me) who put it all togather installed the wrong clutch plate… doh
All the body work is now fully painted and ready to install.
To finish the car needs the charge cooler piping up, Then the front clam can go on for the final time.
Interior wise its gear lever/hand brake , seats and belts to be fitted.
Charge cooler needs mounting finishing along with the Gearbox oil cooler.
Then its down to Syvecs for the mapping session. I have a number of pulleys for the Supercharger to try (3.0,2.9,2.8)
Then fit the rear clam and see you all on The 29th March
Sounds easy…
Hmmm dont know what happened to the time in the workshop at Christmas, but it didnt happen!! 7 wweks and 4 days to Anglesey, oh sh-t!!
So I will be avoiding as many phone calls as possible on Wednesday and Thursday, I must get this thing mobile/running/driveable.
I will be doing it all myself and will not be getting any help from anyone at all, especially not from JDS…Honest.
Well as promised I have had a day working on the car.
The gear box has been removed and refitted to replace the clutch centre plate. (I installed the wrong one!!)
The gearbox cooler is well under way as well as the charge cooler system.
Tomorrow should see the gearbox cooler finished and the new ECU installed. Then its on with a million other little jobs, these include:-
Refit front and rear clams with all the lights etc
refit seats, seat belts, gear cables and hand brake.
Install all the door glass and motors
The list seems endless but today it was made a little shorter.
I DID IT ALL ON MY OWN WITH NO EXTRA HELP FROM ANYONE AT ALL!!
John was not here and didnt do the gear box/clutch, I promise!!!
Today I almost got the gearbox coler finished, just needs the oil adding anf the main 12v feed connecting.
Sorted where the charge coler pump will live and ordered some 19mm coolant hose to go through the sills (that should be here tomorrow.
Also got the new Ecu mounted and almost wired…
Refitted the gear cables etc so that the gearlever etc can be bolted into the car…
Steady progress but progress it is…
Most of the fiddly stuff should be finished tomorrow
So just leaves the really fiddily windows and seat to fit along with front and rear clams and all of thier million parts…
Onwards and upwards
Oh Gav I live in Yorkshire, so a cheap deal on the trackday booking hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Will try and get some piccies for tomorrow night

You must have heard the phrase - cut my nose to spite my face…
Well a little update
The gearbox has been out and the clutch replaced, the gearbox oil cooler is fitted and wired up (it works) The charge cooler is also wired and just needs the hose running through the sills and the mounting brackets finishing and painting.
Just waiting for the DBW controller to arrive then the engine will run again. Next job is to fit the gear cables and a seat.
THEN ITS ON THE ROLLERS.
I hope the 2.9 pulley, bigger injectors, Syvecs and a full 2Bular system with manifold, decat and GT3 silencer will give decent results.
How about a little guessing game.
What bhp and torque will it give?
