Nitrons bits fitted!

Well I have owned my Exige S for a week and having got used to the extra power over my 111s, it was time to get the Nitrons fitted to the Exige! :sunglasses:

The new evolved NTR’s are just BRILLIANT! I have gone for a moderate set-up with spring rates of 450F and 525R. The ride is just so compliant and well damped… Sooo much better that some of the earlier Nitron sprung cars I had a ride in.

Apparently they will rebuild your own dampers to the new spec too!

The quality of construction would not be out of place on my Jet either!

Also had the Nitron rear Toe Links fitted! These are a work of art… very light (Johnny!!!) with titanium ends and top quality rose joints. The best bit is they can be easily adjusted without having to drop the undertray as all the adjustment can be done on the outer end! They look the dogs too! :sunglasses:

Very pleased indeed with the product and the ‘Guys’! at Nitron and so helpful and professional. Now looking forward to Anglesey lots!!!

Cheers,

Pete.

Looks nice Pete.

whats “evolved” with respect to the shocks ? Mine have been on for a few years now so was thinking of a winter refresh.

What sort of geo have they put on it ?

Hi Con,

How about I pop over and take you for a drive… or better still we meet in the Cotswolds and have a pax ride in eah others cars! You would be amazed about the evolution!

From what I can gather, they have taken a lot from Randy’s work on the racetrack and Mark A’s input too… a lot of bench work and customer feedback!

I had pax rides in 3 mid 2000’d Nitron cars and TBH thought the ride was at times quite ‘hard’… the difference in these is just amazing! My other half went for a drive with me last week when I got my car with the factory Billies, and also yesterday when I took her out for a meal as she let me spend all day at Nitron having the work done! She commented that the ride was better with the Nitrons!!! (yet the considerable roll and pitch on the Billies is gone and the car is just very responsive!)

Geo wise, they do the setup with the Beisbarth laser computer aided complex thingy!!! Very impresive!

Give Guy a call and have a chat! Tell him Pete the Pilot says ‘hi’!

Would be good to meet up anyway… Harvey too for a ‘local’ boys curry!

I love my new spec Nitrons! Looking forward to Monday!

MUCH better eh Boothster!

So is the 2ubular 3 inches and angled!?

Can I have a pax ride with you on Monday please!!! NEED to see the CN upgrade working! :sunglasses:

BTW, when are you coming ‘down’?

Your welcome to a pax, although don’t expect it to be FLAT

I’m traveling down on the monday morning sadly, I can’t convince the guys I am coming with to stop over. lol.

Boothy

Wots FLAT man!!!

FLAT is what I a not

Well my nitrons probaly need a refresh and as they were the first set for an S the valving and spring rates were a bit of guess work between Sincs and Nitron, I must admit I think they are a bit under valved as you have to have them on nearly full hard when on track.
Wonder how much it is to have them overhauled?

Cornering Force who have just done mine will service, revalve and also also dyno each one for 85/shock.

Interestingly, my 2 year old shocks were apparently in desperate need of a refresh! This includes one of the rears that was refreshed by Nitron themselves only Sept last year!

Give them a call Ade!

The new spec is very different and I am sure they could re-valve them for you to that spec!

I agree, I love my new Nitrons!

Do cornering force do their own re valve then or get Nitron to do it to their (cornering force) spec? If they do it themselves are they approved by Nitron then?

It is their own valving spec. They use to send the units to nitron, but nitron now supply the parts and they now do it all in house - all approved by nitron.

 Closer to me than Nitron so will no doubt be worth a look when mine need a re build (hopefully not for a while yet).

Hey

Just deciding which suspension to fit, cannot afford the Ohlins so deciding between Nitron track day and trackday pro. Mostly use the car for trackdays but I always drive it there and so still want it to be damped enough for the road. Any recommendations?

Cheers
