New Wheels

Yeah, I had to add that otherwise it just didn’t look right at all! Really messed up you brain looking at the image

But that’s the great thing baout the web, once the resolution has been reduced to be screen friendly a lot of the “rough” edges just can’t be seen

But after your post of the Blue and White exige I was thinking of ways to break up the expanse of colour on the side…

But still looks a little ropey LOL!

Can’t quite fond something that’ll go comfortably with silver…

Interestingly enough mine is in for some blue decaling to break up the silver wanted to paint it white but will wait a bit in case i bump it slightly on the track, hopefully done by Friday and i will post some pics. Gonna be middle stripe following roof scoop and tunnel on rear cover, wing in blue and front splitter in blue, with the side intake channel also in blue. Wanted to go green but all the alcantera is blue so have to stick with a colour theme. The roof scoop is being made up in carbon and will stay in it’s natural glory to break the stripe slightly. The blue is pretty close to Audi’s avis blue.

You could make a simple start by carrying on the “window line” onto the rear clam, as I have done.

A couple of pics

I('d be interested to se how that turns out Jason

And thanks Peasky, looks pretty good, you’ve got you side windows tinted as well haven’t you? I guess it could match the “stone chip” protection in front of the rear wheel in style… Hmmm… More photoshop I guess

I agree that blue could sit well with silver but something in red I’d like… But can’t see it sitting with that silver too well… Hmmm…

What about a darker silver/grey? Colour code the spoiler too.

Ian

Yeah, was thinking of that too Ian, Matching the Anthracite wheels

Or the other thing, just have a “nike” style swish following a similar line to above… But duno if it’ll be a bit “max power”

But duno if it’ll be a bit “max power”

A BIT!

Perhaps on a Ford Escort.

PMSL!!! Good point, well made

OK, with the “Max Power” strip this is something like what I was thinking…

Still a bit gammy, I think the black liner helps…

The reason I tried orange is because of the GT40 blue (which that silver is… More blue than anything)… But I just can’t find anything that sits on silver…

Hmmmm…

Latest on the wheels from Richard:

“The weight of the wheels will be 16” sub 8 kilos and 17" sub 9 kilos.
Apparently the wheels already weigh that, but they are trying to get them down a bit more.
Will definitely be avaiulable in black as well as silver"

Does anybody know how much the standard wheels weigh looking at the other posts for the speedline wheels they imply 8Kg and 10Kgs but is this correct.

on my balance speedlines are 4.5kg front and 5.5 kg rear.

Can you weigh the Standard Wheels

Many thanks

Mark

sorry not now because i have tires on them.

If anybody is after just the wheels please let me know, as I’d be keen on getting the tyres.

Cheers, Ian

I am toying with the idea of getting 2 sets of tyres one with the wheels and a spare set for the summer if possible

on my balance speedlines are 4.5kg front and 5.5 kg rear.

Weren’t the originals 11.2 and 9.5 Kg each?

I’m not having much luck with these wheels I’m afraid guys. Turns out that my supplier assumed that the Exige wheels were the same as the S2 Elise ones as they are the same width/diameter.

It is possible that I can have some made however I will need some confirmed orders before comitting.

So… who here would definately want a set of wheels?

I would definately be interested in a set of wheels if the weight and costs are going to be the same as posted above.

In addition to this if the wheels do not come off are you still able to get the AO 48 at the cheaper rate?
