cheers jaycee
it was those alloy inserts that i was meaning – i guess there is a grub screw unless they are welded and are what you were talking about - they look excellent.

They’re actually held in by the circlips - clever eh?
Do these people respond to e-mails or pick the phone up? I’ve being trying to get hold of them for the past week

I have emailed them too about this exhaust with no reply
Sorry you’ve not been able to get hold of anyone at Blueflame, often the office is not manned as they are down in the factory but i would have thought they would have answered the phone down there. Try this alternative e-mail for Nigel, <[email protected]>.

I’ve tried that address too

Any update on cost yet? Mightily interested…
Any chance of collective bargaining??
Anyone got any further with their enquiries?
Yep try the number John posted above. Just got to wait for the car to get delivered then I can get one of these fitted.
Im seriously considering this exhaust for my 111r. I especially love the idea of a quad pipe, two either side under the red reflectors. Does anyone have a picture of this done? I would kill for one Im also wondering how long it takes to fit, and how reliable the company is? Thanks
Oh well, f*ck 'em…
Dear Sir
Thank you for your recent enquiry.
At the moment - whilst we have a pattern to reproduce the system, we do not have any stock available. Due to the low numbers actually on the road at the moment, we will not be producing the system to stock ourselves at this time, primarily due to high demand on other models.
However, should sufficient interest be generated, we would be more than willing to organise a group buy for owners, based on a minimum demand of 10 systems.
So much for a custom exhaust, you have to buy 10 to be considered! I think I’ll go elsewhere…
Surely we could get 10 interested in a group buy? Must be quite a few S2 owners who would be interested in an exhaust which was somewhere between the Stage 1 and 2 in the noise stakes. I certainly would be, subject to a wee listen.
Just to confuse things, I am reliably told that Larini, who make probably THE best sounding exhaust for the K series S2 Elise, are working on an exhaust for the Yota Elise/Exige which will be available in 4 or 5 weeks. I’m surprised that more manufacturers (e.g. Janspeed) haven’t got their act together one this one.

I guess it depends on - ‘custom build’ usually means ‘we can charge stupid amounts’

Well, that’s the kind of attitude that hacks me off.
If I was considering Blueflame, this would send me away for ever.
I understand it’s a business, but profit over service quality is a no-no in my book.
If I was you guys, I would look elsewhere.
It is a shame because it is a cracking looking and sounding bit of kit. I would have one on mine, and sell the Lotus stage 1 I have.It is nice, but not as good as the Blueflame.
Russ,
Just wondering how you find the stage 1. I have yet to hear one myself, but have been told it is not that rorty. I want something that sounds good when you are booting it, but if possible not too much noisier than standard when cruising. Weighing up the options:
I don’t know why someone doesn’t produce an exhaust with some kind of valve/flap so you can have it quiet when you want, but good n loud when you are in the mood. Has to be possible.

I passengered Russ in his S2 Exige for just over 100 miles last night. The stage 1 sounds okay (but anything must be an improvement over the standard jobbie!), & is definately not too loud for everyday road use. But it ain’t anywhere as great sounding (or looking) as Jaycee’s Blueflame.
Now Jaycee has returned from Monaco, perhaps he can have a word in the ear of Mr Blueflame & get him to pull his finger out!!!

Have they gone bust again?
Please put me right if I’m wrong.
Ian
From my understanding Janspeed have a full system developed for the S2
