NA Power Figures

The DD Performance Research Lotus Manifold is pretty much ready to go - I just need to find a stock car locally that I can use to verify fitment and installation process, and I need to get my final dynos done.

We went to the dno last weekend and had some problems with a fried power FC, but once we got a new one installed the results were looking very promising.

I will be offering a new service probably around September time frame that may interest you.

I am going to start offering fully built dyno certified tuned N/A motors. Basically it is going to work like this: I will source all parts, port head, build motor and then install, run in, and dyno test. I will then pull the motor drain all fluids and offer it for sale. Once it sells I will repeat the process. My goal is to have a certified 230 WHP N/A motor for sale at all times.

The package will include complete long block conplete with lightened crank, Crower lightweight rods, Mahle 12.3:1 pistons, cams, valves, springs, Ti retainers, Circuitworx oil pump, injectors, spark plugs, intake manifold, throttle body, flywheel, short ram intake and air filter. Header will be up to the end user but the engines will be tested with a PPE race header.

To be clear, these motors will be built and tested on my dime. The only exception would be if someone wants something fancy like Titanium rods, dry sump, or a custom compression ratio - in those cases I would require a deposit.

Love to know what that tuned motor would cost. Sounds impressive.

Is it just me or is that picture mirrored? The air filter should be on the other side?

No, the fuel cap is in the right place, its a new inlet manifold

Ah yes, good spot!

Just spotted this on ebay.

Cancelled order

2zzge Lotus Elise 111R or Exige S2

Full ATF Power Engineering engine rebuild

Block acid dipped

Crank balanced

Bearings and seals all replaced

Steel oil pump gear

Steel conrods

Mahle Forged pistons

ARP Head stud kit

Ported head, seats recut for improved flow

Race ATF inlet cam

Fast road ATF exhaust cam

Covers and inlet manifold prepared and painted.

With race exhaust manifold will produce 220 BHP compared to 180 BHP which is what the standard engine actually produces, torque in the mid range is massively increased by up to 30 ft/ibs between 3500 and 8300 rpm. The cars are transformed and it is no longer necessary to keep the engine over 6000 rpm all the time. Please note we recommend that cam switchover is at 6200 rpm with this engine.

Good spot Mike, thatā€™s the kind of power required. Just seen the price though ĆÆĀæĀ½6800! Just shy of the cost of an Audi installation :astonished:

It seems on the high side for pistons, rods, cams and some head work. It doesnā€™t include manifold, ECU or TB.

I wounder what it would cost if you supplied the original engine, you must be able to knock off ĆÆĀæĀ½2000

You can buy and have the Lotus SC kit fitted for less than that!!

Go away

Glad you said that

You will all come over to force feeding in the end !!

Jonny will come over to the dak side eventually, I will force him

You people are not welcome here, Sean has already had his marching ordersā€¦

Even if I do phone him more than my wife

You will be ā€œforcedā€ to change eventually

N/A all the way  and when serious power is required Iā€™m sure one of these will fit Clicky I had a ride in a caterham with this engine and it was insane

Just think how insane it would be if it was supercharged

NICE :sunglasses: Only a quick look, is that the one from Autosport two years ago?
