My daily shed is a 1.2 Clio these days, it has no forced induction and I must confess it certainly does not rock. I find myself uncontrollably making high pitch squealing noises as the revs rise. A Harrop TVS is on the winter to do list if funds allow!
Forgot to update, not sure how…Stephen weighed the car with half a tank maybe just under at 815kg. Not bad I suppose always the compromise here and there but room for improvement
I thought you were being a bit optimistic John when you said youd like to be below 800. I know how much trim and stuff i left off mine that you still have in place (like the whole interior) which all adds up.
Cheers Gav but tbh the fibre glass in strengthening the rear clam and the front filler above the splitter, the extra weight of the intake manifold and the splitter and Ali panel would add up to about 10kg so a compromise really in aesthetics. You know I’m quite proud of the fact it’s still a comfy little thing at 815kg and not a stripped out racer it’ll do the job. Can’t weight to strip out a V6
It occurred to me posting these elsewhere that I hadn’t posted up finished images, tbh for one reason or another I haven’t had a chance, so here it is…
So next jobs. New rear wing and better pylons, new CF splitter, new paint job and new gearbox (oh f***ing yes) so who wants to buy a hardly used KAAZ close ratio box and Quaife diff! If Gav and Dave can do it I can too
