NA Build....

If you need some pointers for some black and white action then I’m there for you fella

Cheered me up no end

Lol I dunno

I managed to get a reading before the wires just dropped out of the pin connector on the factory scales  totally weird… the rear clam came in at 26.55kg inc roof seal and heat reflector stuff under the boot. These are not direct comparisons the CF Clam is a shell and needs a little re-enforcement, 4 aero catches, post brackets to take into account and the top roof seal as well as some creativity to stick the wheel arch liners into place. But maybe 13-14kg saving hopefully…

Scales give up the ghost due to ocd levels of use

haha

Hey Jonny…bet you get really pissed if a garage cashier giving you change says: Sorry we don’t have any fivers I’ll have to give you x5 1 coins

He does not know what a fiver is mate!

Lol am I getting that bad   you know as I’m being OCD the projected weight loss is: oil coolers vs Laminova 8kgs, Foam vs Gas extinguisher 3kgs, fuel tank 4.5kgs, Clam 13kgs, bits and bobs lost vs bits and bobs added 0kg hopefully. I’ll never go Yoko’s vs Toyo’s despite the weight loss…I draw the line

Well the car weighed 845kg at JSR start of 2012 less the doors at 9-10kg so maybe sub 800 maybe possible…

It bloody better

Awaiting the splitter before fitting the Aero Catch 3’s, final job front end.

Which is prepared waiting painting…

No interior pictures at the moment but the wiring for the dash and extinguisher as well as being plumbed in are done with the exception of John coming around to sprinkle his Disney magic on the dash connectors. I’m also waiting for the nozzle brackets which will require mounting in a slightly different direction then when I did this with the Lifeline 2000. The F-E-V Extinguisher really is good value.

So I took the engine out all on my own with no help WHATSOEVER…

Some power coating required, other side is fine.

Cleaned up and made a start here but I’ll be doing a little filling before going any further.

Well done Dude!!!

Cool work mate! :sunglasses:

I am so impressed that you will be able to think about how much faster you will be now that you have taken that 115kg engine out!

My Audi now has 545bhp so I may as well turn up in that

Is that not John and his van in the background?

[size:26pt]NO, WHERE? [/size]

SPRUNG!!!

PMSL!

Hey stop stealing john, hes supposed to be finishing my car!!!
Anyway leave the engine out jonny, being as its NA you might as well leave it out and turn it into a flintstone car!
