My Exige - opinions welcome, may be ignored ;-)

I’m surprised how much better that looks Maybe the colour helps as well.

Agree - a definite Gotham City Racer

How will this extra (albeit c/f) weight & bluff aerodynamics affect the straight line performance?

The car may need a lot more HP if it’s going to live up to the new look.

Tim.

I would do a widened exige like this

http://www.sandsmuseum.com/cars/elise/experience/competition/sportexige/sportexige2.jpg

Make the whole thing wider, not just the arches. looks better balanced i feel.

I assume you are talking about the wide bodied Motorsport one since the link deosn’t work

Agree this is a great car but it would cost an absolute fortune to make this as would involve both new redesigned clams & sills & I don’t think you’d get much change from around 12k for the bodywork alone!!

If someone took a base car added new bodywork, and suspension to replicate the Exige sport, and gave it upwards of 300 bhp and charged a minimal premium over the 240 Cup then I think there would be loads of takers. I’d certainly be on the list. Unfortunately I can’t see it happening.

Junks…you may have seen my post on PH…see what I mean about the colour…looks ace. Good for you!

You think??? Watch this space Will, if they kicked up about the Exige they’ll go nuts about the next project! lol

Yes Jimbo saw it thanx m8 & agree looks much better in black - unfortunately my car is still purple though!! lol

I may pay out & get it blended anyway - will still be driving it for a few months before I sell it

Hi Junks

its a bit maxpower right enough but it definatley needs to be ‘blended’ to work properly as without doing that it just looks too bolted on and my guess is that’s really whats at centre of the PistonHead responses. Also if you are going to be a fan of a widened exige, then your car (when blended ) pretty much does the bizness I think, after that its mostly about ‘does the exige need to be widened?’. I can’t understand why everyone enthuses about the Cadena car with its bolt-on arches but there is so much unconstructive slagging of yours - with the same bleedin arches LOL.

Also… when you photoshopped the ‘blended-version’ why did you also shorten the diffuser? that’s maybe why Brendan thinks it needs swept upwards like the original and without the extra slots in th ediffuser I agree with him.

anyway, that’s me…

Thanx m8 - the diffuser was just swapped over for the oirginal, there will be quite a few options on this available so won’t be an issue.

I wish I could use Photoshop to blend in the real car!!! lol
