For performance, I’d start by putting the rear tyre on the good direction first…
you’ve clearly followed me then Max!
I’d welcome any feedback but I do need to be able to pass on specifics to have any chance of altering anything (if at all as not saying they will) the response on PH was pathetic & whilst I understand it isn’t to everyones taste some of the remarks were just childish
Junks,
I’d just like to say that although my comments were pretty negative, I’m saddened by some of the response I’ve seen on other sites. There’s simply no reason for anybody to resort to personal attacks.
I think the rear arches look great on the racers, and they will probably look good on yours with a slightly more subtle diffuser. I’d be interested to see a diffuser just like that, but shorter and slightly better made. That one looks a bit uneven, but that’s fine as it was made for racing.
Is there any indication that the front arches will provide any performance benefit? Does the car need wider front wheels for racing?
Maybe a slimmer extension for the front would work better aesthetically? I’d like to see it without the pointy bit running back to the door aperture, and with a narrower vent running right down to sill level.I think it’s great that somebody’s doing something like this even if it’s not to everybody’s taste.
I think you’d need to contact Simon at Reverie directly for any technical questions Brendan - I’m sure he’d be happy to answer any

Having driven one of the cadena cars, RussT should be able to comment on the performance angle of the wider clams. I understand that the wider track gives more lateral grip and as is comes from a racing pedigree I can only say its good for that reason alone. Not sure about running 40mm spacers though (comment on the PH site) - do the Cadena cars just have longer wishbones and maybe uprated uprights/wheel bearings?
Arches definitely need blending in to the clams - another thing detailed on the PH responses

As said on PH already Steve the blending of the arches is already an option but as I will be selling the car I wanted the option of removing the kit if it wasn’t required (which by the reaction will be the case!! )
As far as I know it’s only Gavans car that runs the wider rear arches & he runs 9.5in or 10in rims I think
It’s just occured to me that copying the front arches of the Esthi might work quite well. Using mesh instead of the slats in the vent.
I drove the car with the wide arches - it had 10" rims and having driven the same car with 8" rims after a problem with the arches rubbing, I can tell you there is a world of difference, especially when you are trying to take turn 1 at Rockingham flat (and failing!).
HTH
Except for one thing - I do not think there is a ten inch wheel generally available???
Hi Junks,
Have to say I’m not convinced, particularly with the front but I’ll try to be positive.
I think the rear arches look passable, especially if the diffuser was replaced with something more modest. I wasn’t convinced when I saw them at Snetterton, but I can see that it would be possible to get away with them.
I think the front deserves somthing that is blended in, and I have to say I really don’t like the vent behind. It looks a bit like the one in the rear clam of the Esthi and I don’t like that either. Sorry Ken. If it could have been blended all the way back to the door shut line then perhaps a vent like the S1 could have been used, or even a step like on the Exige Sport.
I know you thought about splitting the front clam up the middle and adding the extra width in the centre. What happened to that idea?
Looking forward to seeing the latest reverie rear wings.
Cheers
Will

This is not really true Steve.
Wider track briefly means less lateral load transfer effect, which means depending on the road conditions, tyres and suspension setup, the car may behave better or worse.
I am sure youve noticed WRC cars running on very slippery surfaces or snow/ice using less wheel track, as they need more lateral load transfer so to achieve more vertical load on the wheels.
By the way Junks, if I say I like it, can I have it?

Hey Will
The widening the front clam will still go ahead but not on this car - I never intended to keep this Exige hence the reason for it being bolt on rather than blended, at least I can revert to standard if need be
George - no!! But it is for sale
Oh, shame! Anyway then, i’ll be honest; the way I visualise it, (with a few additions and couple of mods)… I like it a lot. It has a huge potential to be a wonderful and very special car.

I’m surprised how much better that looks Maybe the colour helps as well.
Still need to see it with the wing and splitter, but I think that will look pretty good.
Ideally, I’d still like to see the front arches re-worked, and the bottom corner of the rear arches cut off and curving inwards more like the standard design.

I think that when the splitter is fitted the front arches won’t look so prominent but I’ll have to wait for the rest of the photo’s
The whole front just looks too wide IMO.
Needs something a bit more subtle and more blended with the overall car.
I can’t see Reverie selling many like that I’m afraid

I think they’ve resigned themselves to the fact that they’ll probably sell the rear as per the Cadena cars Anthony
