More exhaust porn

His last exhaust sounded totally sick Andy, poss the best I’ve heard :sunglasses:

Just had a look at the celica ones, they look pretty good. I think the lotus one is longer so they must have changed the cat size anyway, but I am thinking fit a celica one and a silenced de cat which would hopefully perfor a little better and free up throttle response.

What’s wrong with just using your foot for once?

I can confirm my 2Bular 8x24" GT3 exhaust sounded mental on a track day when someone drove my car past me at the top of 3rd gear. The induction and supercharger whine make it sound like a barking dog that’s got a rubber squeaking toy stuck down its throat.

The manifold on our cars is just a standard 190hp Celica one so any Celica one should fit ok, let us know how you get on.

maybe this from eBay

How do you go about choosing which of the 2bular products you want - is it a case of finding someone with one fitted or did you listen on youtube etc?

Ive had 3 exhausts from Jim and the first i did exactly that but with my last i just spoke to Jim about how it would sound on my setup.

Ask for the exit type you want, then tell him how loud\quiet you would like, finally tell him the HP\mods to your car ie SC or similar and he will recommend you what you need.
I have had several exhausts etc from Jim and all have been great, but as the noise police on track have got stricter I have had to have progressivley quiter systems :frowning:

how do I get a phone number? I have tried using the ‘contact us’ tab at the bottom of the page a few times but never had a response which is a bit frustrating.

You have a PM.

If you want to hear a few examples come to Oulton and stand on the pit wall

Or preferably, behind it

I too have sent emails … only to have them not respond.
Good products , but, that is their downfall in my view.

I was hoping to get something sounding pretty impressive for the Time Attack round at Brands next weekend, guessing that would be a bit of a push! My car with its ‘little’ Stage 1 sounds a bit puny/quiet compared to most there!

Sinclaires do stock some of Jim’s boxes, but you would have to ring them to find out what.

So from my limited youtube research, IMO the Larini sounds the best. Discuss.

How much of a difference in noise does a std cat make vs sports cat vs a decat pipe - I assume you will only get decent flames/overrun drama with a full decat?

Depends if you want sound or performance? decat is best but loud I run a silenced decat now but mine is still loud only made a few hp over a sport cat but did make it a bit quieter…

Looks good. Whats the difference in this your last exhaust - is it just the greater bore size?

What size primaries did Jim go for?

Same basic manifold with a greater bore from the collector onwards, it has now been fitted and will be being mapped later on in the week, but it is looking good for it making more power as Sincs have had to put on 550cc injectors as the 440s had run out of fuel at the top end. I hope to post up some dynos soon, but can’t wait hear the new noise.

The manifold does look identical to mine - I’ve got 2" primaries which then runs into 3" pipework at the collector.

Interesting to hear what you say that about the injectors, because my car has always run leans at the very top end as well. I believe I have the same map as you on the car, but I always assumed you had the same exhaust me.

…think I need to get mine remapped.
