Looking great, as Ade say keep the updates and pics coming - I trust you’ll be bringing the finished article to a trackday next year for us to drool over?

Can,t remember if mine had a sunroof …
Was it an optional extra?
Just remembered … I got through 5 rear axles in 2000 miles when I had mine …
Including one built by Skip Brown …
How’s the restoration going now?
Rebuild going at smails pace due to time being spent on my son’s Karting and keeping other cars going , job keeps getting in the way as well.
Promised myself that I would start on it in anger from Feb.
About due another update I think…

All the Lotus Sumbeams had an alloy roof and bonnet direct from the factory for motorsport. No sunroof!
I know cos I worked in the press shop in Linwood at the time. We had to press around seven panels to get one good one as the alloy kept cracking.
Take care,
Frank
wow, i never knew that. cool man
The Sunbeam is comming on well. I have got all the new sound insulation in, harnesses, plumbing, tank, Engine, Gearbox, Brakes, rebuilt the diff with new crownwheel and pinion, axle in. Everything apart from the new sound deadening/heat barrier is as standard.
Body back from eplating
New diff going in,
Open diff ?
I am building the car back to original spec. One day I might do a works spec car, unfortunatly it was not me that won the 180M so dreams will suffice for now!
Engine in and finished, I had rebuilt this some time ago so just but new bearings in to be safe as they looked good and new seals. Belts, pulleys and tensioner renewed aswell. Carbs rebuilt, for the sake of 50 a good fire prevention task.
REar suspension, its not rust you see but copper slip, honest. Suspension was all eCoated and then Epoxy Mastic painted.
wowww…nice project!!!
