As far as I know, Avatars are hosted elsewhere and linkerd to this site so my best guess is that it is no longer wherever you hosted it!
Or, if you did post it straight to exiges.com go to ‘User Control Panel’, then ‘Profile’, then ‘Edit Avatar’ and follow the instructions…
In my experience it’s best to download the image onto your PC so you don’t lose it 
then you can upload it to exiges.com resized for your avatar. Simples 
When he finds it I bet his marbles are in the saddle bag!

Ok then, let’s turn this into a bike thread. 
Before we all get on our bikes . . . I have found the original image I used for my avatar. I tried to reload it via control panel but it keeps rejecting it due to its size.
I resized it to the specified numbers and it still won’t load it.
This is getting to be tiresome for me as I’m sure it is for you.
Can anyone offer some sensible advice?

which original image have you found then, is the first one you lost or the second one you lost?
Just to jog your memory, the first one you lost was of a yellow car up on Kirkstone Pass.
The second one you lost was a pushbike.
If you are going to use the bike again, maybe chain it to a lampost? If it’s the car, just make sure the handbrake is on
