My Lotus Olympic bike avatar has vanished. At least it’s not visible to me.
I’ve tried to load a different avatar without success even when I have re-sized it to meet the site requirements.
The last version I tried was well under 6kb limit so anyone any idea what’s going on or how I might restore my previous image or install the new?
Ta
That’s two you’ve lost now Steve
You didn’t leave it at Ollie’s for a service?
Look, I know I may be considered bordering senile by some of my northern chums but this was a serious inquiry as I feel naked without my avatar.
Bordering senile? Have you looked in your garage?
Gav
Lotus lawyers have re-patriated it in exchange for the writ you are about to receive.
Sleep well
Thanks for the help,lads
Here Steve, have a new one
Good pick Tim…he needs those stabiliers at his age!
I’ll give it back when you come visit me in Budapest
Did you link to it or save it to exiges? Possibly your link site hosting it has gone?
Schhhh, Pierre - we want to keep him scratching his head!
Ageist comments Rob Good work you will be able to take over from JC. (Clarkson) soon
Anyway the way things are going there will soon have to be a Saga section. On Exiges.com. You can be founder member.
I think there might already be a SAGA section on exiges.com - there are certainly enough oldies around.
BTW, this particularl oldie was surprised and delighted to receive custodianship of Con’s memorial Red Calliper award, even though I wasn’t at Anglesey this year. According to Ben, I am a ‘statesman’ of exiges.com. I hope I live up to the billing.
Mike
Pleased to hear that the “Red Caliper” has arrived with you safely.Very well deserved & reflects the appreciation of your tremendous input to all things “Exige” over the past decade or so
Hope your treatment is going to plan - Ying & I will be a raising a glass or two next week over in Chiang Mai. Keep smiling, mate
Mike, not being there I didn’t know who it went to until now so my I add my congradulations. Well done a man of you knowledge deserves more
According to Dr. J. Rufus Fears *:
A statesman is not a tyrant; he is the free leader of a free people and he must possess four critical qualities:
- A bedrock of principles
- A moral compass
- A vision
- The ability to build a consensus to achieve that vision
You’re exactly what a bloody shower like exiges.com needs Mike, and therefore a worthy recipient
\
- I’ve no idea how eminent Dr Fears is, but he had something on the internet so it must be true
RUUUUUUUUUUFus !
Sorry, that just had to be done. But in all seriousness - perfect choice and recipient.
The only saga on here I am aware of is roof off beatings and rightly so
Congratulations,Mike. Still looking for my avatar, though. As you’re now an Exiges.com statesman, can you help, cos none of the tosssers on here have so far provided an answer?
Look what google found
It lack the stabiliser though
