Lee's Exige

I think you should start a thread Andrew, I know you did a great job and others on here would appreciate seeing it!

Will do my best but not sure if it qualifies - being an Elise!

This is a horrible piece of plastic, like many mine has a few small which i can repair but mostly its faded and does not look great.
Is there a better alternative ? Suprise suprise there on back order too at Lotus.

Might just have to paint it but not sold on the idea as paint tends to come off on flimzy plastic.

I’d love to see it, Andrew. Didn’t know you had such skills :open_mouth:

yep go on Andrew get it done, always interesting to see what people have done

Give me a few days, I’ll get round to it

Always room for more build threads

I promised myself i was done in the garage but could not resist. Little bit of fibreglass on the cracked area, plastic primer and satin black top coat. Hopefully it will last :grimacing:

Looks a super job!

Looks pretty well rescued.

Wow cant beleive its almost 1 month since my last update, To be fair i never did a great deal over the Christmas break.
First job was getting all the suspension back from the shotblasters and getting it Zinc sprayed and top coated.

I even top coated the drop links, trackcontrol arms and bearings just to keep the dreaded corrosion away.

New bobbins and refurbed abs mounts.

I have had lots of head scratching over the calipers and what to do with them, my first idea was to rebuild them with new seals etc and rattle can them and to be fair i did paint the rear calipers first but the quality was not 100%. So I pushed the job onto Voodoo paint and what he has done with the finish is outstanding with the correct decals.

I like to prep all the parts first as it makes assembly much easier.

The finished article with the brakes and clutch filled, it even moves under its own power.

Something i am super exited about is the new seats i bought, although I liked the 240R interior i thought it slightly dated the car been out of a 2006 so that was sold.

Thanks to Jon Seal he gave me a pair of door cards to trim. Allon White and Martrim supplied the correct Alcantara and Leather.

Ross Hogg Robinson recovered the door cards to match the seats and some nice gators too.

Stunning, I’d be afraid of getting it dirty after all that.

Looking very clean.

Is that the ProAlloy intercooler ducting kit?

Looking great Lee.

Wooo update at last. All looking great Lee, interior looks spot on.
