Just saw the pics of the prototype. Seems the wheels have shrunk a bit since the model… So i have added a bigger set of wheels and a bit of bodywork where it looks like it is missing in my opinion. Go transformers…
poke my eyes out now with a blunt desert spoon.
why buy that ugly thing when you can buy lotus, noble, tvr etc.
KTM have struggled to make a decent bike for ages ,so i have big reservations about that ugly trout .
You are probably right, but as far as i know they are all sold (the 100 unit pilot production run) So we will have to see what they finally cost on delivery. But even at 50,000 it would be a good deal compared to the 2-11…

It seems KTM read Exiges.com coz the car at Geneva has got bigger wheels.
Still not as big as mikes Photoshop work but a lot better. I find it strange that the prototype ran around on undersize wheels, especially as they look bespoke.
CEO of KTM confirmed price would be 45,000 euros, 100 vehicle pilot build and then 300 a year. With a 300 hp DSG version planned i know which i would prefer over the 60,000 euro 2-11.
“The X-Bow has the footprint of an Elise and weighs 700kg which is surprisingly high given that the similarly naked Aerial Atom weights just 456kg and an Elise (which has a windscreen, side windows, heater etc) is 710kg.”
…and most OEMs quote fully fuelled, which would make the atom closer to 600 kg.
The atom has never been famous for great handling or top speed. Maybe the 2-11 at 670kg and the KTM at 700kg will have better handling and better aero, which could make up for their weight. In another article i read, the designer said that after testing the 1:2.5 scale model in the wind tunnel, they have achieved 200 kg of downforce!
I look fwd to see a group test between a 270hp engined 2-11, a 300hp atom and a 300hp DSG boxxed KTM. With a stiff Carbon tub, pushrod suspension and 200kg downforce…the KTM has to be in with a chance.
From an aestetic point of view the KTM is in a different league… whether its Champions League or Sunday league depends on your point of view
I got talking to an Atom owner at Rockingham last year and he had some very negative things to say - 2 new engines very snappy handling leading to a nasty crash with the Donny pit wall which meant he needed a new chassis
But more recent cars are much much more sorted from what I have heard.
For full completeness of your group test I would suggest a 340R with Honda SC power to give all cars a good benchmark.
