Jonny's S1 Exige Thread. Again!

Well my darlings, car is home, drove home BEAutifully. No need to remove the gearbox. New clutch arm uprated Gav Unit 4 Styley and we were able to use the same slave. I have a list of jobs to do, the little things but it’s 95% finished. I’ll get them done soon enough but in the meantime here it is tucked up nice and warm stinking of petrol  of course it does.

The culprit. Massive thanks to Junks for sorting a new one PDQ!

What a lovely thing

Tar mate

Yeah, awesome job John!!

Absolutely stunning    Must feel great to drive it again. I don’t think any Lotus is ever truly 100% finished so don’t sweat the small stuff

gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous I have always loved that colour
Well done Now ENJOY.

Top job John looks amazing.

Keep an eye on that oil cap mate, mine had one the same and kept working loose and the rattle from it was very worrying.

Fabulous. So chuffed for you.

Cheers everyone. Will do Steve.

Where do I put the tyre goo can?

In the net behind the seats.

Very nice. Well done.

Thought so thanks Keith.

Cheers Will.

On the S1 Elise the tyre foam can was mounted under the front access panel, I think on the RH side? Thought it would be the same for the Exige, although my memory ain’t great. Do you not have the owners manual Jonny?

Have had a look under front hatch where I would have thought it would be, but there isn’t one and no sign there has ever been one John.

This is where mine is! Your car looks fantastic Jonny…

Hmm, that was my recollection. Maybe some cars had them and some not? Strange.

I thought it maybe there too. Thanks for the photo.

My S1 Elise had two clips under the access panel but my S1 Exige does not, it goes in the net. There is no room, as the aircon takes up the space. The tow loop and locking wheel nut tool are not under the panel on the Exige either.

Maybe an S1 with no aircon is the same as an Elise?

Keith

Fantastic looking car, congratulations. Now you just need to dare to use the little gem

Hopefully Sunday buddy.
