Does anyone view their Exige as an investment?
Not an S2 sadly, though I doubt you’ll make a fortune from an S1 in honesty.
Still if I had listened to my heart and not my wife and bought a 19k S1 when I bought my 35k S2 I’d have made a realistic 6k rather than loosing 10k.
Ho hum.
Absolutely…in my happiness I get paid a dividend everytime I turn the key. Looking forward to the AGM next month
Financially, I don’t give a toss…
Good answer, Benja,
I’ve just two days’ dividends + plus the company of like-minded souls.

An appreciating car certainly makes it easier to get spending on it passed the committee.

Absolutely spot on Benja
Even though mines currently in the garage broken,I consider it as good as money in the bank at the moment with interest rates at record lows.Fortunately mine,s paid for…
I’m sure that S2,s will climb in value especially as they are no longer in production.
That thought keeps me sane through this bloody recession anyhow !
could spend what I have ont he lotus on options for a RS5
Look at some of the original Lotus Elan’s, they are worth over 100k now. I dont see why S1’s and maybe S2’s will make it there in a few decades time.
I’m with Benja though, my S1 aint going anywhere. I would be very sad to see my S2 go anywhere as well to be honest.
I dont think you can have enough myself…

Yup, Racing pedigree type 26R’s are 140k ish. Of the 100 or so made only 130 are still in existence.
had my S4 out on Friday. The noise still scares small children.
How very true I think Type 23’s hold a similar record
Get out and use 'em whilst you can still afford the petrol.
Exiges should be available on the NHS as a certain cure for depression
Love the 26R 130 comment
Love my S2 would only sell it for the right S1 or add another to the garage when there is space
lol
Re . The comment on affording petrol… Being so light and frugal ,the Exige will be a sought after performance car when petrol prices soar in decades to come…
Prices of S2 Exige are on the up thats for sure. Glad I bought mine a year ago
edited for accuracy…
Gulp.
What have I done?
Thats a nice thought!
I’m 29 now so i wonder how old i’ll be when my RGB is worth more than what i paid… i doubt i’ll be able to get into it and will probably be at an age where i am starting to dribble
I am sure that one day they will be very desirable and demand mega but for the time being, I am more than happy with the grin i get when i drive it and i see it as an ‘enjoyment investment’
Big smiles all round
