Footman James or Heritage are quite competitive.

I have a modified car, but they are very experienced with modified car insurance. I also have an addition to the scheme that gives me fully comp trackday coverage for approx �50/day.
If you speak to them, Chris is my contact, and mention Damon from Simtis sent you we have an approved scheme with them.
Cheapest is not always best in insurance though, check the terms and option carefully.

if you are not fussed about track day cover Admiral were the cheapest by far for me.
Yeh Admiral are proving to be really good. Trackday cover isnt a must at the mo, kinda need just to be able to drive it in the first place! Just got a quote back for �3700 from a broker

That makes 3 for CCI. Was with Herirage and have just quote a quote for a S/C Honda from CCI and they were cheaper than Heritage was for the old VHPD.
I was with CCI and am now signed up with Richard Egger.
There is a thread on SELOC on this but basically the main people who used to be at CCI who dealt with the Lotus insurance are now with Richard Egger, and they also have the original policy most of you signed up with through Chaucer.
Chaucer wanted to cut out the broker to a point and are now effectively dealing direct as I understand they own Richard Egger Insurance.
You will probably get a letter/quote from Chaucer telling you this at renewal time and asking you to contact Richard Egger.
CCI now have a similar policy but through Norwich Union, this put me off to a certain extent, as did the �600 excess (more than the policy cost) while RE did almost exactly the same quote with �400 excess and you get windscreen and trackday cover.
