Insurance

Just got my renewal through from Henderson Taylor and a little miffed as it has gone up yet again but my friends came down a lot this year with them.
I’ll ring Matt tomorrow but are there any other suggestions as 922 at 33 years old with full no claims for sub 5k miles a year is a bit of a shocker. Currently I have no points (touch wood) but have two non fault accidents in the last five years.
I have never paid over a grand for insurance and last year it was around eight hundred.
Other guys I know much younger than me are paying a chunk less on the same car  All I can see that they have on me is my Bolton postcode which is BS as we really do not see much car crime these days, that was back in the 80’s and where I live is full of million plus houses.

Its worth giving Mary Singleton at Richard Eggar a call as they understand about modified cars and track cover etc and are competitive on price. Also try CCI if you’re phoning around.

I’m a bit older than you but live in London and have a super modified car and don’t pay that much.

Thats what I mean, anyone would think I was a baby killer or something

CCi have always come up trumps for me, RE slighty higher, Comparing quotes is really hard though with different cars/drivers/postcodes etc.

Came to renew my insurance with RE but gave CCI a call - saved around 100 and gained more track days - worth shopping around

Boothy, try getting a quote with the Mrs on.
mine never drives the car but saved it me 80 off the premium with just me as driver.

Mrs is too young mate as she’s only 24 so that one does not work, I tried last year :frowning:

Tried CCI two years ago and they said that anything over 200bhp and they were not really competitive

Bravo

Have you tried Shiela’s Wheels?

Bravo  [/quote]

LOL

1: Well done on the child bride!!!

2: Take the go faster bits off your car, drop the bhp to 199, end the thread about AFR’s and you will be a winner all round mate!

You can often get a discount if you can prove that you’ve had performance driver training (such as attendance at Walshy days etc). Maybe you could get Mike Wilds to vouch for you…

PMSL

Only 500 in crime capital Wolves for mine m8
Matt Taylor …
Mind you if mine got nicked it wouldn’t get far !!

Melt melt :frowning:

Strange as they were the cheapest on my chavved up car. That’s been over the 200 bhp mark for some time.

You’ll struggle to beat matt I’ve just insured my 911 for under 400 fc with track day cover

Shouldn’t us blokes be paying less now following the European court ruling that Women now actually have to pay for their cover !!

Looking forward to retrospective refunds from all my insurers over the last 25 years …

I think the idea is we all pay the same now, not sure where they get the statistics from that women in general are more careful drivers cus most I see as a white van man are bloody awful ok they have no accidents but would more than likely end up causing a few along the way, I mean its a simple fact you dont stop at the end of a sliproad leading to a dual carridgeway and yet these are the safest drivers on a road god help the rest of us then.

Just renewed with CCi again and my premium is down again.

387 me and spouse, sub 5k miles, modified car aka Honda’d thus 230hp, 6 trackdays cover.

my CCI renewal was about the same but was near enuff 150 extra to have 7500 miles p/a which is a joke tbh, same for me being about 850 which is still daylight robbery considering 6yr ncb 27yr old very careful driver just missing the breasts
