I’m going to buy an induction kit to compliment my Stage 2 exhaust.
I’m I correct in assuming that they all do pretty much the same job, giving the same level of induction noise and a marginal increase in power, be it ITG, Pipercross, Reverie etc. Is this the case?
my pipercross is LOVELY. it goes BANG (literally) everytime the cam changes to the power profile. VERY reassuring esp on the motorway. highly recommended!!
Only do Oulton and Anglesey in the car (club race/trackday bikes for thrills) and I’ve not seen anybody struggle with noise testing at Oulton so I’m not too concerned. Do you think I should be?

I’ve seen quite a few cars fail the test at Oulton over the past 3 or 4 years - including Rover powered Exiges with Janspeed & de-cat.
Unfortunately, not very many S2s seem to get out on track, but those I’ve seen, have not been stage 2 & induction kit (apart from 1 at Donny last year, which was out on a dealer day - told to short shift down the straight otherwise it’d be kicked off. I drove it for a few laps that day, & to be honest, I found the noise quite irritating/unpleasant - not necessarily the volume, but the pitch. It was also very “boomy” at Mway cruising speeds).
I find myself hanging in 5th gear on the m/way with the stage 2 exhaust as the drone is far too much in top gear. It seems to sit happier in 5th upto 85-90’s anyway.
Agreed, not a m/way car at all. Is it just me or does anyone else find it tiring trying to hold it in a straight line for any length of time?

You need a Larini - awesome sound at high revs, but none of the annoying boomy drone when you are on a steady throttle. Not cheap, but the best never is. Highly recommended
Have to agree on the larini,i changed from a quicksilver to the larini and the difference is amazing aside from the nicer less boomy noise the build quality is much better.
I’m just about to get an induction kit…Was going to get the ITG but the pipercross is around a 100 less. Only thing that puts me off the pipercross is that I’ve been told it’s a bit boom compaired to the ITG…anyone know if this is the case.
Question…pipercross make two kits for the Exige S2…The Viper kit which is 250 and the Velocity Intake System which is 299…whats the difference and which is best, anyone know?
Yep you were…The one they have is up for 299 plus postage. Thats the one I’ll order then, but from the Pipercross web site as postage is free. Cheers.
