I'm losing weight

We’re fortunate to have the basic components of the roof as well as a complete roof. The roof is an assembly of 4 panels. The outer skin, the inner skin (with the holes in for the captive nuts) and 2 stiffening panels which are snadwiched in the gap. We’ve got the 2 seals removed, we’ve just got to see whether we can buy them separately. Bryn was then going to employ a fibreglass expert to make the moulds as its a big job…probably a bit too big to be honest. We’ll have a difusser finished this week though so the catalogue is steadily building…

Website?

Even if its just a few pages with photos of the product range…

parts look great.

is the splitter standard size though ?

thought it so going to be a bit larger like the elise parts one.

He’s registered a domain name but hasn’t got time to do anything with it.

The first splitters are std and he’s going to extend them a little to see what they look like, he cant afford to have a spcial mold made at present until he sells a few std ones.

If you are going to make a special mould for the bigger splitter could I suggest a smaller number plate plinth suitable for 3/4 size plates?

I was wondering about deleting it completely and getting stick on no plates??

That would be my preference too. Don’t like the plinth on a track car.

I’m not keen on stick on plates (and can’t live with no plates) but have thought about the design a bit more. I reckon you could run the splitter lip across the full width but still have a very small plinth above and slightly rear of the edge (especially if the spiltter extends a little further) to mount a small plate. Sorry, it’s difficult to explain without a picture but hope you may get the gist of it.

What like this one?

It’s a “splitpin special” using marine plywood.

I had the car MOT’d recently and the tester only went and drove the car into a jack on the car lift damaging the splitter.
I was not too pleased but it was an accident and have now made the necessary repairs.
Pleased to report that the car passed the emmissions test with the Forcedfed turbo conversion.

David.

Thats not a bad idea…can I borrow it…

Splitpin - Yep, that’s the sort of thing.

Afraid not, David - clams are different.

Reverie stuff is good, but at a price…

or am I tight ?

I would have to say tighter than a… Tbh the splitter is not a straight forward bolt on replacement but rather covers the same area as the entire front tray, that’s allot of C/F and proper quality stuff too! Took a little minor moding with a Dremmel, 2 hours to fit total on A stands…easy. Good aero qualities. I had another similar uk supplied oem c/f splitter and it was bl00dy awful…to be fair chrisexigegt has a nice one but I think he bought it in the States.

nice only problem is it is right in the firingline
