Personally, I never got over the end of USLOT.

We had a similar problem with the Sussex region which is now no more.
The SELOC management thought the club was bigger and more important than it’s members.
It used to be one of the most active regions with events most weekends and pub meets in between. We now organise events off SELOC and enjoy Euro TD’s with LOT Euro.
Such a shame.
Funny how it’s OK to promote “LOT UK” which is a “for Profit” business and not OK to promote a Lotus meet.

Paul Golding used to run LOT (and SELOC) as a whole as a not for profit business.
He didn’t want to continue the UK side as it was so much hastle so a Director of SELOC took it over to run it as a “business”.
SELOC is now used as a vehicle to promote LOT UK. (and doesn’t even have advertiser status)
RL’s even get bollocked if they don’t do enough to promote LOT UK “allegedly”.

Seems to be a pretty acrimonious place to me.
(apart from anything else I think I do enough web stuff with VSCC, Exiges, LDC, HLR, LCR etc.)
Mark - I know what you mean generally about seloc but I actually thought seloc came out quite well from this one - a very definite case of natural justice - maybe because most of the posters seem to be part of the nyloc mafia (joke!) and rather makes the point that it is impossible to see either of them as separate groups when they are made up of the same people.

Don’t get het up chaps, I don’t know the ins and outs, but life’s too short. The RL for my region seems to be a bit miffed that he’s done loads of research finding a location, to be upstaged by an established group (NYLOC).
We’re Lotus enthusiasts, and if one club can’t be involved with another, you can stick it. Whatever the region (and I freaking hate that self segregation shit) just keep the focus.

Nyloc welcomes all Lotus enthusiasts (owners or not), fullstop.
Events of interest being organised by other “clubs” eg Club Lotus/LDC/VSCC/LOT/exiges.com, & Seloc, are gladly & actively promoted at Nyloc’s monthly meetings - your Seloc RL is fully aware of that, as he used to be a Nyloc member. Many Nyloc members are also members of the aforementioned clubs, & enjoy the company of similar minded Lotus enthusiasts.
