very nice indeed!
Cheers guys, its like having a brand new car all over again…
I’m very pleased with the outcome as its come together at the end really nicely, it was actually the shade of colour i was searching for before i painted it in the matt grey (i wanted something close to that of the grey on Nico Rosbergs old helmet but stumbled on the matt paint and got sent down that road at the time).
Will try to get a pic of the 2-11 and V6 together over the weekend, a pretty pair in Pewter.
A bit of a boring colour i know but i feel the Lotus designs are not and they dont need to be dressed in loud colours to make them look appealing, if anything id say the more boring the colour the more notice you take of the actual detail on the cars. They shout loud enough as they are.
Not a fleet, a collection!
Super cool Gav
that is quite a collection
Gav, there was a misplaced full stop after “Looking good” which I failed to spot before posting .
I did actually mean it “looks good in grey”
But “perfect in pewter” has an even better ring to it
^ what paper did you work on again lol
Awesome Gav
Thanks for the kind comments guys, i have totally fell back in love with it again this week.
Sunshine up north all day so i drove it up to the testing station. I forgot just how much attention the car gets from other road users and pedestrians alike, it has been best part of 4 years ago since i last had it on the road…
The car is worth every penny in the feel good factor alone!
Love it, love it Gav well done
When I have the space and means to have my own Lotus collection, well my fantastic machine will always be in position1 but quite honestly your cars would be in positions 2,3,4 and 5. A lotus for every mood and event.
I think you just need a tasty S1 or MS Elise to enhance your collection…
If Lotus did John Major…
Only joking mate, both cars look awesome!

Thanks Ben.
I thought about swapping the 160 for an S1 that came into the local dealers not so long ago. However it would have been cash my end to make up the difference in cost and the car needed a little tlc to bring it back up to the standard the 160 is currently in. I love my 160 tbh, in many ways i think it is just as special as the S1 exige that was being built down the line at the same time as it. Lumpy idle, awkward to drive in traffic, sound of a banshee at full chat, intoxicating stuff. But unlike the exige it has non of the drawbacks of having the non-removable roof that goes hand in hand with non working aircon and the fear of the V.H.P.D in the back. Why has that always sounded like something they would tell you had down the old VD clinic…
Sir, im sorry to tell you that you have a case of VHPD…
Shit, what does that mean Doc?
We are going to stick a scope down your bore hole and take a look and see how bad a case it is.You will have to have a full strip down every 20-30 yrs for the rest if your life but you may also be more susceptible to HGF inbetween, have you had any gunk discharge recently or ever experienced it? I suggest we put you on a PRRT to reduce the risk of double infection.
The 160 stays!

I suggest a referral to the consultant I used, his name is Dr Edwards. He’s championed a pretty drastic and heroic transplant procedure that has had a 100% success rate. It only uses organs from Japanese donors. I’ve not looked back.
The same Dr Edwards is also highly recommended if you are stupid enough to insist on retaining the potetial for a dodgy bottom, as his ability to re-build to remove the cause of said discharge is second to none. Personally, I will not lt anyone else touch my rear end.
Brilliant, chaps!
I’m proud to have a full-blown case of VHPD . . . so give me the clap I so richly deserve!.

I thought you hadn’t been bothered by the clap since you stopped having to do the ‘interviews’ when you were at the Sunday Sport Steve
hahaha
