Anyone know how many RGB Exiges have been made and also how many Cup 260s ?
I have seen a few RGB’s with build numbers in the 100’s but not sure what number they started with !!!
This ones no 127 Used cars for sale | PistonHeads UK
Over 10 cars available on PH’s
As far as 260 Cups go I believe they built a few 2009 model cars and a handful of 2010 MY cars.
Most of these seem to be used for racing in the Lotus Cup Europe championship. Only ever seen 4 for sale on the usual sites etc.
If somebody can track down Russell Gibbons & co after they ‘moved’ ;)we might get an answer
Mine is number 92, i assume they started at 001. Often the first cars are used for engineering development, sign off etc so i would guess that the public ones start around No10 ?

LOL @ Pete.
Do those numbers include the RGB Elises though.
Called a few dealers today about the RGB they are getting back to me Monday on production numbers , not sure to go for new Exige number 4 and trade in my 240PP S , fact is my two year old car is a better spec than the RGB , choice of colour is limited on the RGB and I’m not sure how special they are if they made 200 of them when my care is in a rare Liquid blue with a one off interior , I did see this for sale tho Used cars for sale | PistonHeads UK
I had seen this car at Goodwood , seems it was a Lotus owned car .
If you look at the RGB spec it’s not got that much on it over the 240 - just the upgraded ecu and I believe fuel pump.
Apart from the badge and a little squiggle on the passenger side I cannot see much to attract people away from a 240.
Maybe that’s why there are plenty for sale. I did all the researching when I was looking to buy a car and the 260 Cup is the best value ex demo/lightly used Exige out there.
Caution though - the car at Murray’s is just a 260 Exige as it does not have the cup pack which was an option.
**OPTION PACKS

Safety battery isolator operated by external and internal push buttons
FIA compliant fire extinguisher system operated by external and internal push bottons
**
Giveaways are the lack of kill switches & fire extinguisher etc
Still an nice looking car though and a bargain when you conside the RGB. With a little push you might get it for 35K
I did also price a new road version of the Cup 260 just like that one a year ago and it was nearly 48k without the accusump so yes it is a bargain but its done nearly 10k , called about it and its been Lotus factory prepped for sale , new disks and stuff , he said its mint . not sure what sort of life its had , it looked stunning at Goodwood , he thinks only 20 MY10 shape 260 Cups had been made and only one in this colour.
Im really not sure if i should change and take the 18k hit on a RGB,or just keep my car that has the Sincs gotham tune and runs about 265hp , or the Cup 260 , OH IDK!
Also why are the RGB front AP discs one piece ? my 240 ones are two .

seems it was a Lotus demo or something , does look nice!

The original discs are 2 piece 308 APs but they have been saving a bit of cash on the big brake kit by fitting the production cars with a heavier and cheaper one piece disc from god know’s where !!!
All the advice I can give is that the MY 2010 Cup car is a step on from my previous car which was 2007 with all the bits - 243bhp, ohlins, accusump etc
Not sure that’d be enough to justify a 18k price to change for me
All the carbon is nice and bling though
Just worked it out on the best prices i have got so far , 14k to change to a new RGB ,or 9k to change for the segy hand Cup 260 , If i could get my hands on an new ice white MY10 Cup 260 but it seems its a bit late now .
Moomin, the cup 260 will i think hold its value better than the RGB when you come to sell it on,nice colour a bit different.

That is one cheap bit of advertising! Half of the images are reversed!!! Guess so the yanks can see the LHD versions!!!
Kind of like that fezza though!
Should be fairly easy to tell, as I understand all Cups have a Lotus Motorsport build plate in the passenger footwell. All the Cups are consecutively numbered from the 240 onwards.
Graeme knows his stuff so would be surprised if this wasn’t a cup.
I want a Cup260 but the tax man says no
There is always the dark side but i think i would get bored with it. Used cars for sale | PistonHeads UK
