How many RGBs ?

Yup boring, This car only makes sence in California where the roof stays off, why would anyone want the refinement of a Porsche and then put the roof off an Elise S1 on it

I don’t get the same tingle from the P word but sadly that’s were a lot of Lotus owners will be looking if all Lotus sell is an under powered Elise and a over priced Evora , I’m not sure what the dealers are going to sell untill the promised cars , funny that Strattons have a steady flow of segy hand porkers in the showroom now to keep them going.
If you look at the comments on that YouTube clip , most of them would take the Exige over the Fezzer , shame you can’t buy one !

Caution though - the car at Murray’s is just a 260 Exige as it does not have the cup pack which was an option.
Should be fairly easy to tell, as I understand all Cups have a Lotus Motorsport build plate in the passenger footwell. All the Cups are consecutively numbered from the 240 onwards.

Graeme knows his stuff so would be surprised if this wasn’t a cup.
Mine doesn’t have a build plate. It’s a nice car but not a Cup without the pack

Lotus reserves the right to change vehicle specification and price at any time.

Please note that the Exige Cup 260 specification does not include the following features:

Rear view mirror, sun visors, carpets, front mud flaps, tailgate gas strut, sound insulation material, glass in rear bulkhead

The Exige Cup 260 comes with limited 12 month, 12,000 mile warranty.

Just had a look at the spec again on the Murray car - I’d check what dampers are fitted - not all have Ohlins, some have the adj Bilsteins. Another 2K to find or get knocked off

I asked that question yesterday It has the Bilsteins , for me thats not a problem but some Ohlins porn would be nice.

The dealer i use didnt give me the 260 Exige with the cup pack option , they just gave me the Full proper Cup car price with aircon and it was just to pricey at the time , bugger i would have gone for the cup pack on a 260, i didnt even know they made a 260 that wasnt a Cup untill the RGB.

I got screwed on this a couple of years ago - didn’t know they made the Cadena replica with or without the GT pack.

Got it sorted - 5K later !!!

I’d play hardball with them - No cup pack, no aircon, no Ohlins. Either get the Ohlins retro fitted at an agreed reduced price or go for some cash off and DIY

Still a lot of car for 35K if you can it for close to that

It is but its a god awful colour for a cup IMHO.

i picked up rgb number 126 today…

better than i imagined

Congrats - can’t beat that ‘picking up a new car feeling’

thanks true…

first new car ive had and felt fantastic

Has Russ left Lotus?
No, he is holding a new position within Lotus.
Thanks. Do you know what his new role is, please?
I’m afraid not, he didn’t say.

What about this little number it’s got to be the ultimate 2010MY track car
Clicky

Swap a few bits over from mine and it would be perfect, now where is my piggy bank…

Just needs 46mm GT Spec Ohlins and I’d agree with you - wait a minute

I thought I would drag up this old thread on RGB numbers to give you guys a little info, so I guess it will be useful for any RGB owners and anyone else that is interested!

It seems that no-one knew the real figures for the RGB production run but after a bit of investigating with a very helpful chap at the Lotus factory, Lotus Archives to be exact, I have some info

Firstly to give you a little background I was initially looking to purchase a CUP260, and to be specific, a Chrome Orange (still for sale) and also an Isotope Green (still for sale) now these cars were very good indeed and I think the CUP260s are epic but I saw a couple of RGBs for sale and thought they would be a worthy contender. I was pretty keen on the rarity factor, ‘end of the line’ etc and finally for me the RGB fitted the bill for what I wanted out of the car, CUP260 engine, forged alloys, a tiny bit of luxury, awesome looks etc etc the list is long and quite simply I ended up buying an RGB

However the CUP260 cars are draped in carbon fibre and I would still like a splash of carbon fibre on my RGB, I understand Jonnyfox has a carbon fetish, so jonny do you have any carbon you can sell me?!!

Other than myself i only know of Matt aka Speedfreak, Zasker, RobO and Bliss on here with an RGB, I did meet a chap at Silverstone Stowe trackday in January called Steve but not sure if hes on here

From the Lotus factory I found out that for the worldwide market 141 Exige RGB were built (not interested about the Elise RGB so these are not included)

Specifically for the UK 55 Exige RGB were built

UK 55 Exige RGB
21 Aspen White
15 Starlight Black
10 Solar Yellow
9 Carbon Grey

The RGB only had 2 optional extras, Torsen LSD and Ohlins suspension

My RGB is 1 of 3 (aspen white) to be fitted with an LSD, I dont know about any of the other colours…

Anyway, enough from me

I hope this is of use to some of you

Chalkey

Was in Matt’s last year, lovely lovely car, I thought they’d be more tbh. How many 260 Cups are there I wonder…

I think Chris has more Carbon than me these days… But I’m hatching a plan
