Fair play Steve, i’m a bit woolly at the moment.
It’s a shame that the sellers aren’t putting any info out about the new MOT regs - think they have an obligation to point out the position.
Steve - they didn’t bother to point out anything when they started selling dodgy kits that would burn out wiring or cause badly-aimed lights with excessive dazzle, etc. so I doubt they’ll be any more responsible now!
I don’t particularly like HID’s at all, factory or aftermarket. The reason is that I wear glasses and whilst the headlights on any following car tend to reflect off the backs of the lenses, HID’s are much worse for this even when they ARE properly adjusted.
The light from them also has another unpleasant side-effect that it tends to reflect internally within the glasses lens, causing a bright ‘halo’ around the edge.
To be honest if someone can’t see at night without the equivalent of a couple of football pitch floodlights strapped to the front of their car, they have a sight problem.
