That might have to be the one then mate… I would imagine there to be more competition in the class for that round aswell…
Start tuggin them strings…
Algarve in September dunny sound to bad either!! is that the new track in portugal by chance?? looks very good
And in terms of costs try this…
2007 2 Porsche Cup cars left with shipping company…arrive in Dubia…not tied down properly…can only make one car fit for racing from two cars with all night shift by team…two drivers refunded and go home…driver puts car in wall in quali…another late night stint…car binned lap 3 of race 1…meet over.
2008 1 Lambo sent over, 28th in 1st race Race 2 rained off!!!

Why is it???
Its a race series with similiar cars, OK the entry fee is more, but I don’t see the difference personally.
Sean
As I understand it, FIA GT4 is contested by latest/current factory spec. cars is it not? Then there’s the TV coverage throughout the EU, which attracts the big budget teams, with pro drivers.
Obviously GT Cup is not exactly “cheap” to compete in either, & the races I’ve seen are brilliant to watch.
Oh, for a decent Lottery win!
PS Are you going to have a shot in the GT Cup this year? Hope so, mate.
PPS Regs are here http://www.gt4cup.com/downloads.php
I understand that its a bigger series etc etc, but I don’t think you need anything more as far as infastructure and support goes to compete in it.
Yes the entry fees are more, but I don’t think that means you need a huge team behind you to run in it.
As far as me and GT cup goes, I don’t think I will this year as my car would be in Class 1 because of the audi engine, so I would be competing against the Vipers and Corvettes. We have discussed getting the car up to spec, but it will then be so far outside the LOT regs it wont be easy to swap back.
Haven’t decided what to do next year, but I may have a go at GT Cup.
See ya at Oulton later this month, Sean/Burt/JSR
Next years GT Cup will have a Super Cup class so you should be able to be competitive in the Cup class.
