They should do a limited run of these, and then make the new body panels standard across all Exige models. They’d sell loads if they could make something that looks that good for 35-40 grand.
I was just thinking how clean and smooth the front end looks. Obviously the oil cooler intakes are missing, but it took me ages to notice the indicators are gone! Must be incorportated into the main lamp units. That’s one way to solve the problem of the indicators popping out
They have to sell them first to end up with a second hand buy, and at 60k I’m not sure there’ll be many takers (apart from the ever flush Russ)
I reckon it’ll turn out like the S1 in terms of desirability. It’ll only be made in very, very limited numbers (ie min for race homologation), & those who buy them will want to keep them.
On the face of it, even I would rather have one over a Porsche GT3RS, & that’s saying something
It doesnt look right around the wheel arches, are the wheels supposed to bigger or something ?
agreed, need more filling out the arches
60k is an awful lot for esentially a few bits and bobs tacked on here and there. I rekon junks could do a way better job for less than a quarter of that
[color:“blue”]You lot really aren’t getting this… Its a homologation special and thats it. Of course 60K is massively over the odds but this isn’t about selling cars for Lotus, its about winning at GT racing and hopefully regaining some of the tooling costs for the new aerodynamic bodywork by selling some spammed up road cars.
Personally its nice to see some of the aero ideas talked about when I was involved coming to fruition and will be interested to see what the race car looks like. Just need somebody to buy me one to go Brit GT racing in 2008… any takers?
