GT3 kitted exige s

It has LED rings around the main beam light , I will try and get a picture for you tomorrow.

Love it Neil, that looks awesome :sunglasses:

Cheers thanks for that, looks good. I’ve got some similar ones on my desk. White for side lights and amber to use as indicator. Just need to get myself in gear and start putting it all together.

Always considered do that and turning the indicators into daytime running lights with a 21w LED bulb

The new wheels look fantastic, completely changes the look of the car, for the better.

Thanks I did think of going for custom wheels to loose the rear spacers , but decided to go with these wheels and leave the spacers on.

They fill the arches well and are actually lighter than the Pro races, and wheels and tyres cost under £900 .

The pro race 1.2’s will be getting dropped off this week for a colour change , they have A048’s fitted for track/summer.

Have a parts pile starting , just waiting on my oil cooler arriving and I will fit the baffled sump, oil cooler and oil temp/pressure gauges.

I also could do with removing the roof and rear clam to seal it up a bit better , to avoid engine smells/noise in the cabin.

Went to my local tinters to get him to fit my sun strip as a favour as hate putting stickers on

Growing pile of parts

So today the car came to bits, and is now in the rebuild stage complete with now having a boot/storage space .

Looks good with the roof off.

Rear spoiler, roof and rear clam removed

Rear storage box , front is covered in a double layer of heat barrier with around 2" of clearance from the manifold. Still have access to the battery and have air flow either side to allow heat to escape through the rear vents.

Rebuild started with new seals around the top of the clam

I have also mounted a 16 Row Mocal oil cooler in the nearside vent , and fitted a baffled sump . Cooler take off will be here tomorrow then I can get the piping finished for that.

Oil cooler is now fitted in the nearside rear , I will monitor temps and if needed vent the arch liner to increase flow.

Gauges now fitted and wired

Ive also added extra bracing to the front splitter as it was flexing above 80mph and actually hitting the road, I also had to modify a front tow post to work with the gt3 clam.

Had the car out today and happy to say the front end is now rigid and can now stand on the splitter .

Ive still to make two little trim pieces for the side of the boot box, but atlas now have somewhere to put stuff if going for a run or to a track day.

Also tracked down an under tray so will get that fitted at the end of the week , also got a digital temp gauge to fit to the gearbox to see how hot its getting before I decide if I’m going to fit a cooler and pump.

Great work. Thanks for keeping us updated.

Thanks I decided to take the car to bits justnow while the weather is poor to sort the parts I wasn’t happy with, rather than wait and then not be happy with it when the better weather comes.

Another big thanks to wheelcoat for the 2 day turn around on my wheels even though I said no rush lol

Looking good!!!

Thanks Sean.

I have my first trackday booked in the car next month so looking forward to that. I think it may be a bit soft on spring rate as I believe it was mainly setup as a road car by cornering force.

Do people run up rated anti roll bars on these cars or does the double wishbone suspension mean spring rate is the only way to control roll ?

Ideally wouldn’t want to go too hard as that’s the mistake I made with the Motons on my old Porsche and ended up going through 3 sets of springs to find a set up that worked.

Yeah go uprated roll bar on the front definitely.

I will do this track day to get a feel for the car then look into roll bars .

I will probably go for the corneringforce bladed bars as I believe that was Niks plans for the car so CF has already done the springs and valving to suit. I have dyno plots for the shocks with road and track dampening settings , looks to be sprung fairly light at 300/450.

Do Cornering Force still fit rear ARBs?

Im not sure I will probably give them a call next week, they are still listed on their site but cant open the details as its being updated just now.

I like the bladed front design looks quick and easy to adjust as well.

Any other bars recommended like the ES 1" ?

Pilbeam if you have the monies.

As rob says
Pilbeam, had one on my S2 Exige, also on the Elise11 I have just bought!!
