Yet another JSR hire car

Yeah 300rr should have been the body for the 2012 V6 .

Oh so Ultima stylee …
Not a bad thing might I say …

300rr body is the way to go, too bad it’s so dam slow…

Picked up my clams yesterday and took it straight to the workshop last night. We’ll start bonding the lights, boot etc in straight away.

Weve got an Elise racecar already with the clams off, so thought we’d rest the clams on it to see what it looked like…and it certainly looks good!!

My exige will be stripped over Christmas ready to fit the kit. Really looking forward to seeing it complete.

How come the lights are bonded in? Thought they were just bolted in position?

Once you cut the lights out, you end up with 2 empty holes in th gt3 clam. The original clams have a bit bonded in underneath and creates the space for the light gibbons to bolt to. I’ve got a damaged clam to cut these out of and then bond to the gt3 clam.

Quick pic after plonking the clams on an elise trophey car…

Nice.

Fookin hell Nick. Didn’t realise how much wider it sits at the rear. Add to the conversion costs the extra parking space you’ll have to rent each month under westpoint

If we dual-drive your car to Le Mans again next year I’ll have to remember it’s 2 feet wider than mine when doing close overtakes

I know!! Didn’t realise how wide it was until I put the panels up against the car!

It won’t go in parking space at Westpoint, thats for sure! Got a horrible feeling that it won’t fit through the garage door either. Lol.

Would imagine that it would not fit in most spaces or indeed most single garages - that really is a graphic demonstration of the additional width. Are you going to get the longer wishbones? It looks an awfully big gap to use spacers on.

It’s only around 4-5" wider overall so don’t see the width as much of an issue. Also get wheels made up by Compomotive or similar and the off set can be made to suit so you won’t need longer wishbones or spacers.

Looking forward to seeing this finished.

18 x 10.5" for the rear is what’s needed…

Yeah that’s along the lines of what I will be doing I think

That’s what I’d have in mind aswel

I thinks its a smidge over 100mm wider, so shouldnt be wider than the mirrors.

Looking into Braid wheels at the moment with different offsets to match the wider stance. But I will have a look into longer wishbones too.

Hopefully will start stripping my car down this week so we can start trimming the clams to fit…I should really start build thread!?
