Remember that overtake on Kimi in to turn 1 last year - magic!
The in car footage makes it look OK but, IMHO, the normal camera footage shows that he would have been better not to overtake him again so quickly.
Easy to say that from a comfy sofa though.
I hear you Russ but I seriously doubt Micheal Shumacher would of been penalised for it and this is a bloke who’d run you off the track to win the world title. Racing’s about quick reactions and in this case Kimi was to slow…on the sofa also

i want louis to win the season but… if louis did not nip through the corner, he would have been very out of shape…i doubt he would have hit but would have certainly lost alot of momentum and therefore once he got straight and through the corner he would have been a long way behing the red shitter. on the flip side i think what louis did on the straight was fair, he gave the ferrari chance to defend the next corner by slippin behind him…we know the rest and good on him. anyway i was booked to fly to monza and watch fri - sunday in paddok with the misses…after 6 years i split up with her…and as eggs are eggs she has the tickets…im now not goin .
unlucky dude.
Clearly none of you has read “The Powerbrokers” - Alan Henry’s words about the struggle for the F1 billions.
Ferrari get a substantial handout from ‘the pot’ (about 32m at the last count) just to appear each year. It seems th sport simply wouldn’t be the same without them. Plus, of course, Ron Dennis (self made milliomnaire) and Max Mosley (virtual aristocrat) hate each other with a vengeance. Perhaps Ron set up Max’s deal with a few hookers recently and he’s still getting the pay back…
There is no way Hamilton should have been penalised for that overtake. It’s all F1 politics and if you ever believe that F1 is a still a sport you probably like football as well… It’s all about selling things and making money, nothing more, nothing less.
Stop sitting on the fence, Mike!

I thought that too but was surprised that most, if not all, of the drivers interviewed by ITV all agreed with the decision.

They all know about the Ferrari handout and therefore which side their bread is buttered…
