Exiges.com @ Donington Sat 29th April

Checked my car over today… looks like I got a sharp stone or shard of metal or something stuck in the pax side inboard CV joint boot. Punctured a tiny hole in two places and CV grease all over the shop bah… something else to do alongside wheel bearings… not terminal tho’

Thanks to Pesky and everyone involved in the organising what was a fantastic day.

Thirded!

I’d also like to thank everybody. You’re what made it a great day and the reason people are happy to arrange such gatherings. Long live Exiges.com!

Spa?

That’s always gonna be a hard one, as you’ll get less people because of the location, insurance, etc.

Personally I think Rockingham might work quite well but I know others are less keen. Maybe Silverstone if we could get it for sensible money. Anywhere where’s lots of us!

Peeps

After chatting with them on Saturday & Sunday, I’m pleased to say that the Scottish contingent have offered to organise next year’s get together - they have been fantastic attendees of all previous events (Roland Brinkman from Glasgow was at the very first one we had at Donington in Sept 2001), & we owe it them to give them our full support.

After being quite involved in all the annual exiges.com trackdays to date, I’d decided before last Saturday that it would be the last one I’d be organising, although I will of course be attending future events

Well, why wait till next year?

We mentioned we’ll start by organizing next Aug/Sept at Knockhill , then we’ll do… I don’t know, probably a poll and decide

Yes a big thank you to everyone - A really great day even though I needed the morning to wake up

The tuition from Gav helped - “Yeah you could go faster and brake later, that would help …” comment will haunt me now

Also pleased I could help Lotus make sure a special guest could drive their Exige “s” demo car around Donnington - Ian was talking boats not cars I understand

Yes, the prinicples of water and air as a liquid are very similar. The non-rigid structure of the sail is an issue though, as is the water/air interface. Why talk to a man about his day job, eh!
