Great day - even though my clutch packed up on the first lap… Thanks, Jodie for your help - need to get it sorted now.
RAC were shite on the way home - after 5 hours waiting to be picked up at Chester Services (relay leg 3) I gave up & organised my own return trip!
Buying a trailer next…

Thanks everyone who has updated. Sometimes, we’re so keen on being out on track that we miss out on the paddock stories. I’ve been so lucky with my S1.
Unfortunately, my trip to British GT Champ at Oulton involved a “graunch” over a steel guide for a gate and a torn n/S outer sill cover. Could be a clam off job😳

Sorry to hear it. I am sure good local recommendations will follow. If its sill cover do you mean the stick on bit behind the front wheel? That comes off as a seperate piece on it’s own.

My S1 is fixed. Turned out that an HT lead had failed. It was obviously dodgy for a long time as it now smoothly pulls 5th at 30mph! It has had the wrong leads (for years) which must have been arching in the coil pack and worked with a weak spark. I’m not sure how the leads got on there, it may have been my fault transferring them from my parts bin.

Tragic I missed the day.
