Spotted already

Lol - I am with the northern gang and there is some minor discussion going on:

we are at a the curry house and it turns out to be the only curry house in wales with no alcohol :open_mouth::see_no_evil::joy::joy::joy:

But then . . .

Got home ok after precisely zero laps. Car was running perfectly and developed a misfire a few miles from the track. I could not risk that on track and there was no obvious fix. JS diagnosed the wrong HT leads but they have been on it forever. Changed the coil pack, not fixed. Correct HT leads and new lambda probe on order from Geary.

Hope you all had a stonking day, looked fantastic. Ben, thanks for the offer of using your car but I wanted to limp mine home before the traffic went nuts. Seeing the jams going into Wales it was not a bad choice. Anyone want to buy an S1 Exige before I set fire to it?

Needs to be fixed quick, I’m doing charity dream rides in a couple of weeks with the Sporting Bears.

That is a shame Keith :frowning:

I hope everyone else had a great day. I went to mass in Vatican City with the Pope!

Post pics when you can

Great day. All round. Thanks to everyone involved.
Sorry you missed out Keith. And also MarkPH. I suspect even curry and beers the previous night are no compensation for missing out on a day like we had today.
Had a great time socially and on track as always.

Ciao England! 6:40am and I just drove onto the ferry in Dover.

Despite my “its-always-wet-at-Anglesy” bet not winning I managed to not totally destroy my winter tires :see_no_evil::joy:
It was a good day, more social on account of the tires, and the smile was loud all day. The 311 is a very grown up Lotus indeed and many thanks to the Randalls for letting me drive X-bow. No winter tire sogginess there!:sunglasses:

Thoroughly enjoyed. Meeting everyone is such a treat.

Ben - thanks again. You are modest about the effort put in to make this a reality. See you all on track.

Now for a snooze on the ferry!

Fantastic day Ben, thanks for organising. This was my first Anglesey track day, what a great atmosphere.
Here’s a photo my wife took at the start of the day.

Another amazing day thanks guys! Great fun once again :+1::beers::sunglasses:

Another awesome day even if cut short by my dodgy Clio diff.
I left the circuit about 1:30pm and after the diff finally giving up on the slip road into Newport Pagnell services at 5:45pm I eventually got home at 4:30am this morning
Steve eventually made it home at 11:30am this morning after a plainly heroic drive up by one of our friends to collect him and the car with a trailer
I’ll be back next year but it might be in something different, the jury is still out on what to buy or if I will repair and keep the troublesome Clio

What a day, thanks for organising and it was great to meet a few faces after having recently joined up here.

Best forum peeps ever. Gutted to miss you all. Keep it coming…

That sucks! I’ve had a driveshaft go on a sighting lap before so I know how you feel. It’s still a magic car, there’s nothing else like it. Good luck!

You’re a pair of Essex heros…but how you can swap a Lotus for something less reliable???

You’re a crazy man for doing the trip but it’s always good to see you. Thanks for the rabbit vomit fact.

I know, it has taken a special level of effort to find something less reliable, but the effort and work has paid off by buying French LOL

Great day guys, it was nice catching up and see everyone again, also meeting up with a few of the new faces. I hope you all felt welcome and enjoyed the day also. It’s always a good day with the exiges.com crowd, just a shame some had to take early baths…

I had some great laps chasing Sean around in his Caterham, both cars doing it completely differently but the end results almost the same, certainly the smiles were as big from both camps back in the paddock. Great fun mate, most definitely put me in my ‘happy place’…

Oh, and great move bringing LoT onboard as the TDO. We should have done it years ago!! Free garages, free passengers, good price. How a club day should be run! Bravo!

^^^^^^
What 'e said. Saves me writing to much…
Thanks for those who entertained us after gearbox failure and to those who stayed for last orders.
Did anyone more organised than I take details of the photographers web address?

Great day, thanks so much for organising. It was my first Exiges track day and my first trip to Anglesey - typical I don’t even turn up with an Exige! It was such a good day, despite the car feeling like it wanted to kill me most of the day (albeit so much fun!! ) Jody to the rescue though, he noticed my roll bar bolt had come loose and resulting in it sitting at the bump stops on one side (yeah I don’t profess to know much about cars, I just drive them  ) And this is part of the fun of owning a kit car right? Although saying that this one was factory built by Westfield.

I had my GoPro on most of the time, but for some reason most of the files are corrupt. Apparently a common issue with some possible solutions, if/when i get that sorted I’ll posted up some links as no doubt got some footage of some of you

Anyway, thanks again, I’ll definitely book next year and really look forward to it
