Exige S2 with added supercharger

Super, glad it’s working well

Good work Andy. Do you know what ride height Dan set you up with?

Measured from the floor to the jacking points (A and B)?

I’ve gone with 130r / 120f as a starting point which I thought was quite conservative, but the front is looking rather low as it sits.

Yes, I am lower than that. Handles like a dream…

110r/105f

Hmm you got a side profile pic since it was adjusted? I’m already losing the top of my tyre in the arch so I think I must be measuring from a different spot :unamused:

Erm. Not to hand. Ill try and grab one tomorrow assuming the weather isnt as bad as I think it might be

I have fitted the new discs supplied by seriouslylotus

Very happy with the fitment and they are fractionally heavier and smaller in size that the ones I took over but crucially dont foul the pads.

Have tested the discs out and made myself feel sick with the braking. I can also squirt water out of the window washer pipe when braking without locking up.

The squeal of the DS1.11 has gone as well.

I am a little unhappy on the offside as I have some marks on the hub where the locating screw has been drilled out by a previous owner so Ill get that addressed in the near future.

My exige has developed a minor but bloody annoying metallic rattle emanating from the left of the two tailpipes.

I took it over to a exhaust place that has a decent rep in Doncaster and they sorted it out no problems. A couple of small tack on the offending honeycomb and voila. No more rattle and a less irritated Andy

Great news, who did you go to out of interest?

It was top gear performance.

Good to know, there’s some cracking exhaust shops hidden away so always nice to know who to turn to for small jobs like this. One by one the hangars are dropping off the exhaust on my Civic, only so many cable ties in the world to keep it attached to the car…

Today a little goody bag from Dave at simplylotus arrived with some service items and 16 new wheel bolts. I didn’t like the look of the old ones as they had grown tired and I had no idea how many cycles they had been through.

I also have a lot of new washers / clips / screws to fit over the weekend from bits that have escaped , adding lightness.

I also checked tyre pressures and am running 25R 23F

Noticeably the front right was at 11PSI. I’ll be having the front right off anyway so I’ll eyeball it for a while to determine if it’s a foreign object that’s causing the issue or a random oversight last time I checked pressures.

I also put in 1/2l of oil. It’s due a service soon I think…

Pics before and after.

Looking good👍

Good stuff, I got the same wheelbolts from Dave a few weeks ago - I think just to tip the basket balance over the free delivery threshold  It does make all the difference as the standard ones go grotty in no time.

Now that you’ve got catch cans on it’ll be interesting to see whether the 1/2 litre of oil is due to losing a bit through piston blow by or whether it’s sneaking out somewhere else. Probably well within Toyota manufacturers tolerance so nowt’ to worry about, but always interested in knowing where it’s going!

I know I am not dropping oil so must be blow by.

If I get time at the weekend I’ll whip off the catch tanks and take a look.

I had about 50ml following a trackday, but then two trackdays later and I had nothing in there(?) so seems to be a seasonal thing on my engine

My record was on my Impreza, had to empty a 1litre catch-can after every 15min session at Blyton to stop it overflowing…

2.5l engine?

Naaawww a proper one, 2.0! Though it was a UKDM one, my only regret really.

After the aforementioned trackday I sold the car, I really thought the engine was on its way out. It was running 400bhp and it did a fair few trackdays like that but the amount of blowby was shocking.

The guy who bought it didn’t seem phased as it didn’t seem to blow a drop when driving on the road, I was amazed to find that he (and subsequent owners) but another 40k on it in 3 years(!!) and apparently the catchcan never required attention…

Ladies and gentlemen the spacers have left the building

Washed the car today. Had a helper.

Car looking great. Especially in that 2nd photo. Lovely.
