I haven’t had the chance and time to drive the car recently, because of the bad weather. But I have had the time to paint and the put the grills on.

After
I ordered also some parts from Elise parts. Oil filters, new badges for the extra set of wheels and the soft top conversion kit.

Looks much sleeker - less clutter! Nice one

I got my soft top today so now is the time to read and see there to cut some I can install soft top conversion from Elise parts.
Maybe also a glass of whiskey before starting to cut in the clam🙈
I delivered the Exige to Cartech in Larvik, the only shop to do maintenance on Lotus, (but also work on Porsches and GTR’s)
I had them change the toe links with bracebar and do a good setup on the car.

I like how clean their workshop is.

Believe me, they really have pride in their work!
The owner of the shop races in GT4 class so they also build race cars.
More pictures from Cartech’s Facebook site.

Hi guys!
Just a little update🙂
At the end of September there was a car meet at a farm 1,5 hours from Oslo. It was plenty of cars and people there. It was 9 Lotuses there.
Some pictures:
Now it’s almost time to give the car a good was and park it in the garage til new year😞 But before that I bought some stuff far Seriously Lotus.
And unfortunately I found out that we lost to Elise’s in Norway. One with a Rover and 2zz engine. One hit a big pothole and broke the front arms and chassis and the other one went off the road because the tow links broke. Thankfully both drivers were okay.
A good think came out of this. I bought myself some 2 pot calipers for the rear (200 £) and a buddy of mine bought the 2zz engine (2 800£). The 2zz car had only been driven 50.000 km / 31.068 miles.
Looks like there is still time to spend in the garage

Is that a sheer panel I can see that you purchased?
When does the weather turn bad ?
Yes, its the sheer panel! I
m quite excited to see how it feels on the car.
Usually I park the car for the season in November. But it is cold in the morning and in the evening, butwe are still at 4-8 degrees then. But during the day the weather and temperature are ok.
I see that you are busy with your car these days.

I will. I dont know if I
ll have time to install it before the season is over.
I know that the cup cars have sheat panel installed and what I have read is that the structural sehar panel based on the vision developed for the Exige GT3 race car, wich increases the lateral stiffness of the reat subframe by 30 % further enhancing its handling.
So it increases the stiffnes to the rear subframe suspension pickup point and should then result in better tyre contact patch control.
But I have to wait and see how it feels on the car.

I will take someone with real life experience over marketing.
I’ll await your feedback

I as well!
I am afraid it will be some tempting parts to pop up and I have to buy them.
It happened quite often this year😂

We need to be careful. Random parts jump into my shopping cart without me noticing at times

I see that I forgot to add some pictures of the inside of the car.
Some safety measures after going home from the store and driving through some twisty road😉

For those in here that like crime novels maybe you know that Netflix are filming a series based on Jo Nesbø (famous Norwegian author) books about Detective Hole.
Some Hollywood actors such as Peter Stormare and Joel Kinnaman are going to play in it.
But Lotus Cars Oslo have borrowed them a Lotus Emira for series and the rumors are that car is going to have a central role in the series!
The car was the one they unveiled earlier this year that is blue but are foiled in silver.
Great publicity for Lotus
A picture of the unveiling of the car.
Same car with plates and how it’s going to look in the series.

Hi guys,
Looks like its bit quietere here on the forum. It
s typically hectic everyday life until Christmas.
Then it was to buy some parts that typically appear, this time on Black Friday.
I have bought road legal LED bulb from Philips due to replace the existing poor halogen bulbs. Anyone here who has switches from halogen to LED?
Some parts that came from the States!
I ordered the Bootie and QWKBLLED SS LINES (Quick bleed lines)
Since I will be driving without the roof and the soft top in the boot, I thought this was a practical purchase. It will prevent the soft top from rolling around the trunk and knocking off the tail lamp wires and it will be perfect for storing my stuff in the pit during track days.
Since i Came across a good deal, I bought a set of brake pads. Two pairs for the front and one for the bak, original from brembo. Just 106 £ in Norway.
I think the next thing on the agenda is to buy some upgraded discs. I love the look of the Alcon braks discs that Seriously Lotus have, but cant justify the price. So it
s perhaps possible that I will go for full sett of aluminium bell discs from elise-shop. Any thoughts guys?
I`m thinking of having a set of pads for raod and a set for trackdays. Any recommendations for brake pads for trackdays?

Interesting in the bulbs. We can’t legally use LED if they didn’t come from the factory in the UK.
Regarding pads - it seems everyone has their own preference.
Mine are Ferodo DS1.11.
Long lasting
Work when cold
Never, ever had any fade issues either
